Medical Director, Clinical Excellence – Care Catalyst

• Build and optimize a provider network that can scale • Eliminate operational friction that slows care delivery • Ensure the clinical team can absorb growth without breaking • Maintain quality while pushing for efficiency • Serve as clinical authority responsible for medical quality and safety • Shape how care is delivered across a technology-enabled clinical ecosystem • Set clear clinical standards and hold teams accountable • Translate medical judgment into systems and workflows
Job Requirements
- MD or DO with active, unrestricted medical license in good standing.
- Prior experience as a Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, or similar leadership role
- Commitment to provide a minimum of 10 hours per week of direct patient care.
- Deep practical knowledge of US clinical operations, reimbursement, documentation standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Understanding that great care depends on well-designed systems, workflows, and tools.
- Ability to communicate fluently across clinical, operational, and executive contexts.
- Proven track record in clinical workforce planning, including forecasting demand and optimizing provider utilization across distributed networks.
- Experience managing or designing provider compensation models within a "cost of care" framework.
- Prior leadership in a high-growth, venture-backed, or tech-enabled clinical setting.
- Experience partnering with Product or Operations teams to build, test, and iterate on clinical workflows.
- Ability to use data to identify bottlenecks and monitor clinical quality metrics.
