Position Responsibilities: Database Management - Install, configure, and maintain Azure, SQL Server, and other DB platforms (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.). - Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations across environments. - Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies. Data Security & Compliance - Implement and maintain database security policies, user access controls, and encryption standards. - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., CMMC, HIPAA, Federal Contract). Backup & Recovery - Design and manage backup/recovery strategies. - Perform disaster recovery planning and testing. Performance Optimization - Analyze query performance and optimize SQL code. - Configure indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies. Collaboration & Support - Work closely with developers to design efficient schemas and queries. - Provide production support and troubleshoot database issues. - Document processes, standards, and best practices. Requirements Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - 5+ years of experience as a DBA with databases such as Azure, Oracle, and SQL Server. - Strong knowledge of relational database design, normalization, and indexing. - Proficiency in SQL scripting, PL/SQL, and T-SQL. - Experience with database monitoring tools (OEM, SQL Profiler, etc.). - Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud). - Must be a U.S. Citizen (contractual requirement) Preferred - Exposure to BUILDER – (CERL Facility Software) - Experience with government contracts - Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
