Job Description AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented Labor Compliance Specialist to review contractor Certified Payroll Records (CPRs) for compliance with California public works labor laws to work remotely or in Orange, CA. This role supports transportation infrastructure projects and ensures contractors and subcontractors comply with prevailing wage requirements, apprenticeship regulations, and certified payroll reporting standards. The ideal candidate has experience with California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) requirements, public works labor compliance, and reviewing certified payroll submissions for accuracy and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities - Review contractor and subcontractor Certified Payroll Records (CPRs) for accuracy and compliance with California prevailing wage laws. - Verify proper classification of workers, wage rates, overtime calculations, and fringe benefit reporting. - Confirm compliance with DIR Public Works requirements and applicable wage determinations. - Identify and flag labor compliance violations, such as underpayment, misclassification, or incomplete payroll submissions. - Communicate discrepancies and required corrections to contractors and project management teams. - Track payroll submissions and maintain organized compliance records. - Ensure adherence to apprenticeship utilization and reporting requirements when applicable. - Support audits or documentation requests related to labor compliance. Qualifications Required Qualifications - BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Summary The Business Compliance Liaison (CX) serves as the primary compliance and operational liaison for the Customer Experience (CX) organization, leveraging deep Gainwell process knowledge and experience to lead the CX team to design, document, and support the execution operational procedures and protocols.
