Lead Mobile Engineer - Fintech/Blockchain Location: Remote - Location: US or EU (remote-first, office optional). Based in EST time zone preferably and as close to France, Paris is always the major preference. Compensation: $140K - $220K Our client is hiring a Lead Mobile Engineer to drive the user-facing side of our secure, next-generation financial platform. This remote-first role is focused entirely on mobile, requiring you to design, build, and refine iOS and Android applications, craft intuitive cross-platform interfaces, and shape the mobile SDKs that developers rely on. This is a critical opportunity to turn complex financial requirements into simple, trustworthy workflows while owning projects end-to-end. As the Lead Mobile Engineer, you will set the technical direction for the user-facing mobile experience, balancing fintech-grade UX with bank-grade security and reliability. You will be responsible for bringing complex requirements into production quickly and rigorously. Responsibilities: - Lead the design and development of the flagship iOS and Android applications. - Own features from idea generation and design through launch and post-launch iteration. - Refine mobile SDKs and cross-platform frameworks to ensure smooth integrations for developers. - Integrate bank-grade security and fintech-grade UX into mobile wallets and financial workflows. - Set and enforce high standards for performance, security, and architecture across the entire mobile codebase. - Partner closely with product and design teams to ship features fast while maintaining rigor. - Write clear documentation, conduct thorough code reviews, and mentor teammates.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years in mobile engineering, with proven experience leading projects.
  • Mobile Expertise: Expert in React Native or native mobile development (Swift, Kotlin, etc.).
  • Cross-Platform Skills: Skilled in cross-platform development and designing SDKs.
  • Security: Hands-on experience with WebAuthn, passkeys, and secure authentication mechanisms.
  • Domain Knowledge: Proven record of shipping mobile apps in the fintech or on-chain/blockchain sectors.
  • Soft Skills: Strong sense of UX, detail-oriented, reliable, and a clear communicator who thrives in fast-moving teams.
