Clinical/Life Sciences Background (CTD) AI Lead (Remote – EST)
OMG Technology
Clinical/Life Sciences Background (CTD) AI Lead (Remote – EST) We are looking to hire a candidate with the skills sets mentioned and experience for one of our clients within the pharmaceutical Industry. This is a 6+ month contracting role, with potential for extension. This is a Remote role, with a preference for candidates in the EST zone to facilitate coordination with teams across EST, PST, and EU time zones. Role Summary: You are the AI forward-deployed engineer for Clinical Trial Division (CTD) operations within Thermo Fisher's Pharma Services Group. You identify, validate, build, and ship AI capabilities that improve day-to-day clinical trial services workflows - then drive adoption so they become part of how teams operate. You deliver hands-on using AWS, Dataiku, Databricks, and OpenAI, and you drive ChatGPT adoption across CTD roles. You balance short-term value delivery with long-term infrastructure maturity. As enterprise data/AI foundations and patterns evolve (for example: MCP server patterns, A2A approaches, reusable agent frameworks, governance, scalable integrations), you create a vision and execution plan that bridges today's constraints to a scalable target state. Key Responsibilities: - Map CTD AI opportunities: Identify use cases across CTD workflows (knowledge retrieval, document acceleration, exception management support, operational insights, coordination/handoff support, client-response acceleration). - Build and ship: Deliver POCs/MVPs using AWS/Databricks/Dataiku/OpenAI, integrating with operational systems, data, and document repositories. - Roadmap and operating cadence: Own a roadmap and drive an execution cadence (demos, stakeholder reviews, adoption checkpoints, impact tracking). - Balance quick wins vs foundations: Deliver immediate workflow improvements while shaping requirements and reusable patterns that will scale as IT infrastructure matures (integration patterns, evaluation/monitoring, orchestration approaches, governance-aligned design). - Vision and transition plan: Define the CTD AI north star and a staged path from POCs to reusable capabilities to scaled delivery. - Adoption-first delivery: Convert solutions into practical assets - templates, prompt kits, role-based guides, and training - so adoption is built in. - Risk/controls awareness: Incorporate appropriate controls for privacy/security and traceability expectations where needed. - Stay current and apply responsibly: Keep up with the rapidly advancing AI landscape and selectively introduce relevant techniques/tooling that are safe, measurable, and adoptable in CTD operations. Required Skills/Qualifications: - Strong understanding of clinical trial services/operations (or adjacent clinical operations workflows) and the ability to translate CTD work into deployable AI solutions. - Primary Stack: AWS, Dataiku, Databricks, and OpenAI. - Hands-on capability building production-minded prototypes (Python/SQL, AWS, Databricks and/or Dataiku, and OpenAI). - Applied GenAI experience (RAG, evaluation, guardrails, workflow integration, adoption enablement). - Strong ChatGPT adoption embedded in CTD routines. - Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence as a senior IC. - Demonstrated ability to balance immediate business outcomes with long-term scalable capability building. - Experience working with privacy/security constraints and controlled documents in clinical contexts. - Experience supporting globally distributed operational teams. - A CTD AI opportunity map and roadmap adopted by CTD stakeholders. Other Job Details: - Job Type: C2C or W2. - Duration: 6 – 12 months with high possibility of extension. - Location: Remote (preferred candidates in the EST zone to facilitate coordination with teams across EST, PST, and EU time zones). - Pay Rate: $68/hr. on C2C. or $60/hr. on W2. - Interviews: Video interviews. - Docs required: ID proof will be required. Drug Substance Division (DSD) AI Lead (Remote – EST) We are looking to hire a candidate with the skills sets mentioned and experience for one of our clients within the pharmaceutical Industry. This is a 6+ month contracting role, with potential for extension. This is a Remote role, with a preference for candidates in the EST zone to facilitate coordination with teams across EST, PST, and EU time zones. Role Summary: You are the AI forward-deployed engineer for Drug Substance Division (DSD) operations within Thermo Fisher's Pharma Services Group. Your mission is to identify where AI can materially improve day-to-day work, then build and ship solutions that teams actually use. You deliver hands-on with AWS, Databricks, Dataiku, and OpenAI, and you drive ChatGPT adoption across DSD workflows. You must hold two truths at once: the business needs near-term outcomes, while IT continues building medium/long-term data and AI foundations (for example: MCP server patterns, A2A approaches, reusable agent frameworks, governance and scalable integrations). You create a clear vision that connects immediate wins to scalable, supportable capabilities. Key Responsibilities: - Identify high-leverage DSD use cases: Target opportunities across DS operations (technical knowledge retrieval, investigation support, documentation acceleration, operational insights, exception triage, capacity/coordination decision support). - Build prototypes and deliver MVPs: Create working solutions using AWS/Databricks/Dataiku/OpenAI, integrating operational data and documents into usable workflows. - Data readiness and integration: Assess data availability/quality; define what's needed and influence how to get there (standard sources, access patterns, reusable pipelines). - Roadmap ownership: Produce a DSD capability roadmap with milestones, dependencies, and impact metrics. - Balance quick wins vs foundations: Deliver what helps DSD now while shaping patterns that will scale as the enterprise platform matures (reusable assets, integration standards, evaluation/monitoring, agent orchestration approaches). - Vision and transition plan: Define the DSD AI north star and a staged path from POCs to reusable capabilities to scaled delivery. - Drive ChatGPT adoption: Build prompt libraries, playbooks, and training tied to real DS work; measure usage and outcomes. - Stay current and apply responsibly: Keep pace with AI advances and translate them into practical, controlled, high-impact solutions suitable for DSD environments. Required Skills/Qualifications: - Domain fluency in drug substance operations and how DS work is executed (process understanding, technical documentation, investigations interfaces, performance drivers). - Primary Stack: AWS, Dataiku, Databricks, and OpenAI. - Strong hands-on delivery skills: Python/SQL plus AWS and Databricks and/or Dataiku experience; applied use of OpenAI. - Applied GenAI/LLM experience (RAG, evaluation, guardrails, workflow integration, adoption enablement). - Strong ChatGPT adoption in DSD workflows. - Ability to work independently, drive ambiguity to shipped outcomes, and communicate clearly to senior stakeholders. - Proven ability to balance immediate impact with long-term scalability while platform capabilities evolve. - Practical GxP awareness and experience operating with controlled documents/data access. - Experience working across distributed/global DS operations. Other Job Details: - Job Type: C2C or W2. - Duration: 6 – 12 months with high possibility of extension. - Location: Remote (preferred candidates in the EST zone to facilitate coordination with teams across EST, PST, and EU time zones). - Pay Rate: $70/hr. on C2C. or $62/hr. on W2. - Interviews: Video interviews. - Docs required: ID proof will be required. About Tribe AI: At Tribe, we’re on a mission to help enterprises realize the value of AI for their business. Every large enterprise wants to use AI to transform how they operate — but many don’t have the capabilities to do it. That gap is our opportunity. We’re an AI-native services company that helps enterprises build and deploy best-in-class AI products that deliver real business impact. We partner closely with OpenAI and Anthropic, giving us rare visibility into the most advanced models, roadmaps, and GTM strategies in the world. About the Role We’re looking for a Forward Deployed AI Architect to lead our most mission-critical client engagements. This is not a lab role - you’ll be embedded with enterprise clients, building and deploying AI solutions where the problems are messy, the stakes are high, and the environment is rarely “ideal.” You’ll be the one who makes things work in the real world: taking designs from architects, wrestling them into production, and ensuring they scale reliably under real constraints. If you thrive on chaos, love solving problems end-to-end, and want your code to matter outside of demos, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities: Client Engagement & Delivery - Work side by side with clients, PMs, and Architects to scope and deploy AI systems that actually solve problems. - Build and integrate systems using LLMs, RAG pipelines, agent frameworks, vector DBs, and related tools. - Navigate real-world challenges: data access, authentication, security, networking, and brittle enterprise environments. Solution Implementation - Translate high-level designs into working components that deliver measurable outcomes. - Debug relentlessly - optimize for reliability in production, not just elegance in code. - Write modular, reusable code that balances speed of delivery with long-term maintainability. Collaboration & Enablement - Embed with client engineering teams to accelerate adoption and integration. - Share insights from field implementations to inform reusable components in our platform. - Document decisions with clarity so both clients and internal teams can build on your work. About You: - 5+ years of engineering experience, with proven work shipping AI/ML systems into production. - Strong Python skills and deep familiarity with modern AI/ML frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, vector DBs). - Hands-on with cloud deployment, orchestration, CI/CD, and distributed environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Ability to debug gnarly real-world issues (auth failures, networking black holes, flaky data pipelines). - Problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity, focused on delivery and reliability over process and ceremony. - Comfortable in client-facing environments - credible with engineers, clear with executives. Why Join Us: - Impact: Ship AI systems that don’t just demo well but run at scale in Fortune 500 enterprises. - Growth: Stay hands-on with cutting-edge frameworks while developing field-tested instincts. - Variety: Solve problems across industries, from finance to healthcare to defense. - Culture: Work in a team that prizes resilience, creativity, and winning over process. - Trajectory: Build both your technical and consulting muscles in one of the most demanding roles in AI delivery.
