Role Description Pumpkin is seeking a Claims Processor who will report to the Supervisor, Claims. The Claims Processor is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling insurance claims. This role also determines policy coverage for the claimed loss and appropriate compensation amount. - Works closely with veterinary hospitals and policyholders to evaluate and review a pet’s medical history to determine a baseline of health. - Investigates and processes assigned insurance claims, verifies coverage, and compensation amounts, per insurance policy. - Updates Explanation of Benefits (EOB), pays and closes claim. - May order medical records from providers. - May communicate with clients and providers during treatment. - Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications - 1 year relevant experience working in a veterinary clinic - Education: Must meet one of the following requirements: - Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one year college); or - Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) - Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) - Must have flexible availability as schedule may include evenings, overnights, and weekends. - Only United States residents will be considered for this role Requirements - This is a full-time position: Days and hours to be determined by needs of business. Hours to be determined between employee and director. Job Requirements

The Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated, data-driven Claims & Strikes Administrator to join our Strikes organization. This is a newly created role designed to centralize our claims management and data integrity efforts. Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, you will serve as the primary bridge between insurance providers, finance, and GRC leadership. If you are a self-starter who thrives in an independent environment and possesses a deep understanding of the claims lifecycle, from dispute to closure, this is the role for you. We are looking for an expert who can navigate complex claims landscapes and ensure our data management remains a high-functioning asset for the company.
