Outside Sales Responsibilities: - Assist in establishing new business opportunities - Disseminate qualified prospects to the sales team - Assist with planning the marketing focus, executing the marketing strategy, and documenting results - Assist with maintaining records of all interactions with qualified prospects and communicating to sales team - Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise - Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales team - Assist engineers in design, prototyping, assembly, and fabrication of new and existing products - Visiting farm sites to inspect customer equipment and establish repair plans - Occasionally perform repairs on customer equipment at customer job sites - Territory will expand Montana and part of western North Dakota - Remote position, training required in Fargo for 6-12 months Outside Sales Qualifications: - Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills - Ability to effectively communicate information about the company in a positive manner to prospective clients - Ability to build strong, influential relationships, maintain confidentiality, and exhibit professional composure - Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective time management skills - Good written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently with little supervision - Ability to quickly adapt to change and work with diverse customers - Experience and technical knowledge of equipment - Valid driver's license and clear driving record - Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems - Ability to read and interpret technical engineering documents and drawings - Comfortable using a computer for various tasks - Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, work hard, and handle uncertainty - Physically strong, agile and dexterous, ability to lift at least 40 lbs - Ability to travel 40-60% of the time - Strong work ethic, integrity, moral character, and initiative - Farming or Mechanical background and/or experience in farming industry
