Role Overview 16VC is looking for experienced executives and industry leaders to join our network of Advisors. As an Advisor, you will provide strategic insights, support portfolio founders, and help expand our global network across technology, startups, and enterprise ecosystems. This is a flexible, remote advisory role designed for leaders who want to support the next generation of founders while contributing to the growth of an emerging venture capital platform. Key Responsibilities - Provide strategic guidance on industry trends, technology, and market opportunities - Support evaluation of potential investments and emerging startups - Introduce high-quality founders, investors, and ecosystem partners - Mentor and advise founders within the 16VC portfolio - Contribute to the development of 16VC’s investment theses and ecosystem initiatives Ideal Background We are particularly interested in leaders currently serving or previously serving as: - C-level executives (CEO, CTO, COO, CPO, CFO, etc.) - VP-level leaders (Engineering, Product, AI, Sales, Growth, Strategy) - Heads of departments in leading technology companies or high-growth startups - Founders or operators with deep expertise in AI, enterprise software, fintech, deep tech, or emerging technologies What We Offer - Opportunity to support and shape early-stage technology companies - Access to a global network of founders, investors, and operators - Participation in the 16VC ecosystem and venture initiatives - Flexible remote engagement with minimal time commitment

• Build and maintain strong relationships with library directors, municipal leaders, and local IT teams, serving as a trusted technology advisor. • Participate in client meetings and strategic discussions regarding technology needs, planning, and operational improvements. • Understand the operational challenges of library environments and provide practical technology guidance. • Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders. • Support leadership and business development teams during client proposals, contract discussions, and technology planning. • Provide leadership and direction for the organization’s IT operations, infrastructure, and support services. • Lead and mentor IT managers and technical staff, fostering a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and service excellence. • Establish operational standards, processes, and performance expectations for IT service delivery. • Improve service delivery processes including incident response, monitoring, and operational support. • Ensure effective documentation, standards, and operational procedures across the technology environment. • Maintain a strong cybersecurity posture across all organizational systems and services. • Oversee security policies, risk management practices, and incident response procedures. • Ensure systems meet appropriate security, privacy, and compliance expectations, particularly within municipal and public-sector environments. • Partner with the CIO to guide the evolution of the organization’s technology infrastructure and operational platforms. • Evaluate tools, platforms, and infrastructure supporting library services to ensure they remain practical, maintainable, and cost-effective.
• Develop Work closely with marketing to ensure accurate presentation and tracking, maintain and adjust pitch deck and related presentations. • Drive revenue by effectively differentiating WEG’s offerings and value proposition. • Drive revenue by acquiring / closing clients and increasing assets under management. • Educate clients on planning and investment based topics through one-on-one and group presentations. • Utilize WEG’s planning structure and model to close mid and high net worth cases. • Support Financial Advisory Teams to help grow WEGs local presence while ensuring client service and retention standards are met. • Proactively contact and qualify high net worth prospective clients that are introduced through WEG’s direct marketing channels. • Meet with high net worth investors to understand their financial situation and needs and introduce the value of working with a WEG Advisory team. • Assist in the creation, delivery, execution and management of complex financial plans and investment recommendations. • Work with the financial advisory team to ensure ongoing client service is delivered after the close and transition.
