We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to work with attorneys in our Gulfport office and step into an active caseload, primarily focused on premises liability defense. This position offers immediate responsibility and meaningful file ownership. We are open to remote candidates based in the Jackson, MS area. Responsibilities: - Manage and defend an active caseload of premises liability files. - Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, trial preparation, and participation in trials as needed. - Collaborate with partners and team members on strategy, case evaluations, and client updates. - Take ownership of files and maintain consistent, proactive communication with clients and opposing counsel. - Contribute to a collegial, team-centered office environment that values open communication and direct interaction. Qualifications: - Insurance Defense experience is required, preferably in premises liability. - Ability to learn niche areas of law and adapt to varied practice areas. - Strong sense of personal accountability and confidence to handle depositions and hearings. - Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to a collaborative office culture. - Self-starter with effective time management skills.
