Job Description
Sales Solution Engineer
Condor Software
About Condor Life sciences companies spend over $300B per year on R&D, most of it flowing through a small number of global pharma organizations. Yet the financial core of that innovation is still managed through spreadsheets, PDFs, and disconnected systems. The result is predictable and costly: limited visibility, slow decisions, wasted spend, and delayed therapies. Condor is the financial intelligence layer for life sciences - the infrastructure required for where R&D is heading. We are building the system of record for R&D finance, giving CFOs, clinical leaders, and R&D executives a real-time command center for their development portfolios. Condor unifies clinical and financial data into a single, living source of truth, enabling leaders to see where capital is going, how trials are performing, and how to act with speed and precision. This is not accounting software or reporting tools. Condor is a pharma-native, AI-driven platform built for prediction, control, and execution at enterprise scale. It powers decisions that determine which programs accelerate, which pause, and how billions in R&D capital are deployed. Condor is a high-growth company backed by top institutional partners like Felicis and 645 Ventures, growing rapidly with Top 200 biopharma companies. This is a rare opportunity to help build foundational infrastructure that will shape how new therapies reach patients. The Role The Solution Engineer (SE) at Condor is a quota-carrying, pre-sales role that partners closely with Account Executives to drive revenue through high-quality discovery, tailored demonstrations, and solution design. This role is critical in helping biopharma finance and clinical teams understand how Condor automates clinical trial finance, improves forecasting and accrual accuracy, and supports audit-ready operations as organizations scale toward late-stage development and commercialization. The SE works cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to ensure confident buying decisions, smooth handoffs post-sale, and continuous feedback into the product roadmap. Key Responsibilities - Lead and support in-depth discovery with finance, FP&A, accounting, and clinical operations stakeholders - Translate customer workflows, pain points, and success criteria into clear Condor solution designs - Deliver tailored product demonstrations aligned to customer maturity and buyer personas (CFO, Accounting, Controller, FP&A, Clinical Ops) - Support pilots, POCs, and technical validations during the sales cycle - Partner with Account Executives on deal strategy, qualification, and technical win plans - Carry a shared or individual quota and actively influence deal progression, win rates, and close velocity - Support expansion opportunities by demonstrating additional modules, use cases, and value - Respond to technical, security, and compliance requirements (RFPs, SOC, audit readiness) - Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure clean handoff and early value realization - Surface recurring customer requirements, objections, and product feedback to Product and Engineering - Contribute to demo environments, discovery frameworks, and solution playbooks as the GTM team scales Required Skills & Experience - 5+ years experience as a Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Technical Consultant - Experience in biopharma, life sciences, CROs, or healthcare SaaS - Experience in a quota-carrying or revenue-influencing role - Strong discovery and demonstration skills with executive-level audiences - Proven success supporting complex enterprise SaaS sales cycles - Ability to clearly communicate technical and financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders - Comfort working with financial, operational, or transactional data - Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving Series A environment Preferred - Familiarity with clinical trial finance, accruals, forecasting, or budgeting workflows - Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) - Understanding of audit, controls, and compliance concepts (SOC 1 / SOC 2, SOX) - Experience selling to CFOs, Controllers, FP&A, and Clinical Operations leaders What We Offer - Competitive compensation and meaningful equity participation - Comprehensive employee benefits, including 100% company-paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance - 401(k) plan with a 3% company match that vests immediately - Unlimited PTO Condor is an equal opportunity employer.
