Role Description The Sales Manager North America - Dairy will lead and drive commercial performance by leveraging deep expertise in dairy nutrition, ingredient sales, and technical service across the North American Market. This role is responsible for building customer relationships with Dairy Nutrition Consultants, Dairy Nutrition Companies, Direct large Dairy customers, and expanding APC's presence in the North American Dairy Industry. This position operates under the direction of the Director of Sales for North America to develop and execute performance goals, standards, and strategic objectives. JOB DUTIES: - Sales: - Assist in implementing dairy market sales strategies aligned with APC corporate objectives. - Demonstrated ability to develop strategic sales and marketing plans introducing new product applications to the North American Dairy Industry. - Collaborate with the team to develop and maximize strategies for marketing APC Product in dairy cow applications in the region. - Develop and deliver compelling sales and technical presentations to dairy producers, consultants, nutritionists, feed manufacturers, and industry decision-makers. - Actively participate in annual and long-term strategic planning to define sales of APC Products in the dairy industry. - Maintain regular communication with and visits to dairy industry prospects and customers to address product application questions, identify new opportunities, and ensure continued satisfaction. - Work with Director of Sales to establish effective sales strategies and assist in negotiating pricing with customers. - Leverage technical dairy knowledge and assist customers with the application/evaluation of APC Product and support their research projects as necessary. - Facilitate communication among APC research, quality assurance, customer service and production staff to ensure customer satisfaction. - Technical Service: - Identify and engage key technical influencers in the North American dairy industry — including nutritionists, veterinarians, university researchers, and consultants — to build awareness of APC product efficacy and application. - Partner with regional sales staff and customers to design, monitor, and report on dairy nutrition trials and field evaluations that support product positioning and promotion. - Provide technical consultation to assess nutritional programs, identify performance gaps, and recommend APC product solutions tied to measurable outcomes (milk yield, components, SCC, reproduction). - Collaborate with the Global Marketing Manager to develop sales training materials, technical white papers, advertising, and promotional content specific to dairy applications. - Develop strategic relationships with universities, private research institutes, and dairy industry organizations for purposes of product testing, validation, and third-party credibility. - Support customers' internal research projects with technical guidance and data interpretation as needed with assistance from APC Tech Services. - Professional Development/Other Duties: - Attend North American dairy industry conferences, trade shows, and seminars to stay current on research, regulatory trends, and competitive developments impacting APC product acceptance. - Regularly review dairy industry publications, trade journals, and technical literature to identify emerging opportunities or threats. - Assist with annual budget planning and forecasting for the dairy segment as requested. - Participate in business skills development training and leadership programs as directed. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Nutrition, or related and relevant field preferred (ex. nutrition, marketing, business management). - Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Dairy Sales Manager in the dairy industry. - Demonstrated success in managing customer relationships and growing revenue in a market based, consultative role. - Strong knowledge of technical aspects with experience in dairy cow nutrition. - Proficient in written and spoken English; fluency in other languages is a plus. - Competent with standard computer software. Requirements - Demonstrated ability to develop and grow sales and market share in the North American dairy industry, with strong technical service capability. - Proven success introducing new functional ingredients or nutritional products to the dairy industry. - Ability to analyze market trends, product lifecycles, and competitive dynamics within the North American dairy sector. - Deep knowledge of dairy cow nutrition, ration formulation, and herd performance management. - Effective communicator across all business stakeholders: sales teams, research personnel, customers, distributors, and prospects. - Ability to manage and protect confidential corporate and customer information with discretion. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. - Ability to meet deadlines, remain composed under pressure, and maintain professionalism during peak activity periods. - Comfort delivering technical information in both one-on-one and public presentation settings. - Ability and willingness to travel as required. • Travel to collection plants as assigned by management. • Submit written reports after each visit. • Distribute reports to APC leadership and collection site contacts. • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment at each of the collection sites. • Include scope of work in each collection site visit report. • Ensure collection plants are making quality plasma. • Act as a point of contact, interacting with collection site employees, in a manner that promotes APC positively. • Collect samples throughout the plasma collection system to assure quality plasma is being produced. • When not traveling to collection sites, work in areas as assigned by management. • Be available on short notice to visit and troubleshoot at any of the collection sites. • Assist with the construction of any new collection sites and installation of new equipment at any of the existing sites. • Ability to troubleshoot and program PLC/PLC operated equipment as well as general knowledge of the programs and functions at company and collection sites. • Maintain company vehicle appropriately (i.e. oil change, tires, washing, etc…).
The Process & Controls Engineer will support the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of production processes within the Proliant Dairy manufacturing sites. This role works cross functionally with operations, quality, maintenance, and corporate teams to increase throughput, reduce waste, improve product quality, reduce energy usage, and ensure regulatory compliance.JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience Required: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. - Minimum 2 years of experience in the food or beverage manufacturing environment, ideally dairy. - Strong understanding of unit operations: thermal processing, evaporation, drying, filtration, separation, pumping, CIP and sanitation. - Working knowledge of FDA/USDA regulations and food safety systems. - Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Minitab, or similar). - Familiarity with Allen-Bradley's ControlLogix 5000 programming software and/or Ignition. Preferred Experience: - Experience with Dairy processes, including evaporation, drying and membrane filtration (UF/RO/NF), or spray drying. - Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. - Experience working in high-volume Dairy processing environments. - Familiarity with AutoCAD, or other process modeling tools. - Strong project management experience. This role may be fully remote when not traveling, with regular travel to company manufacturing sites (approximately 60%). Candidates located within driving distance of Melrose, MN or St Johns, MI are preferred. JOB DUTIES: Process Design and Optimization - Analyze, develop, and optimize unit operations such as evaporation, drying, filtration, membrane processing, and thermal treatment. - Conduct time, yield, and mass‑balance studies to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions. - Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. - Support capacity expansion projects by providing process calculations, equipment specifications, and line balancing. - Create, edit, and update Process Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) in alignment with engineering and operational requirements. - Identify and implement process improvements that reduce energy consumption, improve thermal efficiency, and lower utility costs. Technical Leadership - Provide input and expertise for Dairy processing technologies, including equipment CIP, Process improvement via equipment optimization. - Collaborate with R&D to scale new products—from bench to pilot to full commercial scale. - Troubleshoot process deviations and performance bottlenecks. Data Performance and Analysis - Utilize statistical tools to track process KPIs such as yields, moisture, solids content, viscosity, and other key process metrics. - Interpret manufacturing data to make recommendations for efficiency improvement or quality enhancement. - Support implementation and refinement of MES/SCADA systems for process monitoring. Quality, Food, and Safety Compliance - Ensure all processes comply with HACCP, USDA, FDA, and SQF/BRC requirements. - Maintain documentation including process flow diagrams (PFDs), SOPs, and control plans. - Work with QA to resolve customer complaints, deviations, and audit findings. Project and Equipment Support - Assist with equipment evaluation, FAT/SAT testing, commissioning, and startup. - Manage small‑to‑medium capital projects, including scope, budget, timeline, and contractor coordination.
