Role Description Our Inside Sales position is a crucial member of our inside team. They have the privilege of building strong relationships with each customer and are the primary contact for placing orders for delivery. They work closely with our Outside Team and Warehouse team to ensure deliveries are both executed and communicated properly to everyone involved in the shipping process. What you will do: - Complete the full order process, including pricing within established margins, sourcing additional products, and generating sales orders. - Prepare and enter quotations and customer orders accurately and in a timely manner. - Provide customers with pricing, inventory availability, and delivery information. - Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers through phone and email communication. - Support Outside Sales Representatives by preparing quotations and processing orders. - Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently. - Achieve sales and profitability targets through product promotion, upselling, and cross-selling. - Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment. - Adhere to company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications - Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. - Previous Inside Sales or Counter Sales experience, preferably within the HVAC/R, plumbing, industrial, or building supply industry. - Minimum 2+ years of experience supporting contractors, builders, or commercial customers. - Strong B2B customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop and maintain long-term customer partnerships. - Experience preparing quotations, processing orders, and supporting sales activities in a fast-paced environment. - Proven ability to promote, upsell, and cross-sell products while achieving sales objectives. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AS400 or other ERP systems is considered an asset. - Strong HVAC/R product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn technical products and industry terminology. - Highly organized with excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
