Role Description At Urbantz, we help some of the world's largest retail, grocery, e-commerce and logistics companies improve their last-mile delivery operations through smarter, more sustainable delivery management. Our SaaS platform is built for enterprise teams managing complex multi-fleet operations, helping them reduce emissions, allocate work more intelligently across carriers, build tailored workflows and create better delivery experiences for customers. The app is the beating heart of our solution, enabling drivers to: - Scan parcels at the depot at 6am. - Know where to go next and when to arrive. - Track packages in real time. - Collect signatures upon delivery. Every moment must feel fast, reliable, and intuitive for users. The tracking data flows into our data warehouse for analysis and improvement. This role is for someone who enjoys building demanding mobile software, solving connectivity and device hardware problems, making pragmatic technical decisions, and shipping features that genuinely improve user experience. As part of a product squad, you will: - Shape and build features from idea to App Store release. - Improve the experience for delivery drivers and recipients, including scanning flows, notifications, and navigation. - Refactor and modernize the iOS and Android codebases, reducing technical debt and improving architecture. - Write tests to prevent regressions. - Use AI tooling to enhance efficiency across platforms without compromising quality. Qualifications - Experience in building native mobile apps (iOS or Kotlin) in a maintainable, well-architected way. - Experience improving existing codebases through refactoring, better architecture, and increased test coverage. - Understanding that testing is a normal part of software development. - Ability to work well in collaborative product teams and communicate clearly. - Value the quality of your work and understand the implications of shortcuts. - Stay abreast of developments and best practices within the technologies used. - Positive attitude and willingness to keep learning. - Reside in Europe, within ±4 hours of travel from Urbantz HQ (CET). - Experience working remotely and collaborating effectively. - Fluent in English. Requirements - Five or more years of mobile development experience. - Interest in last-mile logistics and operational products. - Experience taking ownership of ongoing projects.
