• Responds to a high volume of appointment requests for scheduling medical exams, procedures, and tests • Answers and triages incoming calls and requests professionally • Completes scheduling from work queues to fulfill requests from providers • Schedules patient appointments and reminds patients of necessary items to bring • Documents messages regarding clinical questions and escalation appropriately • Handles inquiries about insurances accepted, office hours, services, etc. • Documents referral information for verification and follow-up

• Reviewing documentation and selecting appropriate procedure and/or diagnosis code for billing documents • Insuring teaching physician requirements are met

• Function as the team lead to Patient Services Representatives • Provide relevant guidance, training and work distribution • Oversee and perform customer services activities • Resolve patient inquiries and account investigations • Follow up and collections on self-pay balances

• Responds to a high volume of appointment requests, including telephone calls, emails, work queues and other electronic messages, for scheduling of appropriate medical exams, procedures, and tests with and without demographic collection and insurance registration. • Answers and triages incoming calls and requests in a prompt, professional, and polite manner. • Completes scheduling from work queues to fulfill requests from internal and external/referring providers. • Schedules patient appointments and reminds patients of necessary items to bring including their referral and medications. • Documents complete and clear messages and distributes messages regarding clinical questions and escalation messages promptly and appropriately.

• Directs, supervises, and coordinates the daily activities of a team with the Patient Access Center • Manages the coordination of patient appointments and assessments • Assures service excellence of Access Center operations to patients, physicians, and internal customers

• Provide general neurology consults via telemedicine • Coverage hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, overnight consultative calls handled telephonically • No in-house responsibilities • No acute stroke or neurocritical care coverage required • Supported by advanced practice providers (APPs) who assist with consult coordination, follow-up care, and discharge planning • Daily workflow includes morning tele-rounds followed by consult coverage throughout the day • Performs professional duties and technical procedures of the particular area of specialty to provide examination and treatment of patients
