State Director

• The State Director serves as the senior executive leader for Tennessee, with full responsibility for statewide strategy, growth, revenue performance, and operational excellence. • This role functions as the executive owner of the state, leading expansion of Foster Care and future service lines while ensuring long-term sustainability and impact. • Provide executive leadership for all Tennessee operations with accountability for growth, revenue, margins, and outcomes. • Set and execute statewide strategy, including Foster Care expansion and development of new programs. • Own financial performance, including budgets, revenue targets, payer strategy, and sustainability planning. • Lead, develop, and hold accountable senior leaders. • Ensure regulatory compliance, program quality, and Medicaid licensure. • Build and maintain strong relationships with DCS, funders, regulators, and community partners. • Serve as the primary external representative and advocate for the organization in Tennessee. • Lead with a trauma-informed CARE approach while fostering a high-performance, accountable culture.
HR Generalist

• Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures. • Manage the unemployment claim process. • Support worker’s compensation, leaves of absence and benefits administration. • Work with leaders and staff to foster positive employee relations and resolve conflicts. • Conduct thorough, unbiased employee investigations and recommend course of action. • Maintain HR file compliance by conducting background rechecks, interpreting results and assisting with audit preparation. • Recredential staff as applicable. • Responsible for full cycle recruitment, pre-employment and onboarding. • Research and develop job descriptions for new or changing roles within the organization. • Perform other HR related duties as needed. • Use a trauma-informed approach in their daily work and interactions with others using the principles of CARE: Developmentally Focused, Family Involved, Relationship Based, Competence Centered, Trauma Informed, and Ecologically Oriented.
Youth Partner

• Function as a contributing member of a case management team. • Engage youth who are historically challenging to engage and develop rapport, help them establish buy-in to their case plan. • Provide mentoring and modeling for youth assigned to your caseload. • Provide crisis management and intervention as needed. • Empower the youth in your caseload to find their voice and learn appropriate self-advocacy
Licensing and Training Specialist

• Recruit, Train, and license foster parents. • Provide pre-service training for potential foster parents. • Assess and evaluate potential foster parents based on state and agency policy. • Guide potential parents through the licensing process and submit all licensing documentation to the state as well as required agency documents. • Ensure foster parents training remains in compliance, provide at least quarterly supervision/assessment, maintain audit ready files. • Work in cooperation with foster care coordinator to provide comprehensive support to help a foster parent maintain placement of children in their homes. • Public speaking and marketing to recruit families. • Assist in locating placements for children, work both independently and with a team.

• The State Director is responsible for overseeing and growing operations throughout the state with an emphasis on our Foster Care program expansion. • Select, train and evaluate program directors in accordance with the Thompson Leadership training. • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation and mission alignment among staff. • Oversee and manage the program operations and leaders. • Develop high potential staff into future leaders. • Monitor financial health, including budgets, revenue goals and sustainability plans. • Regularly review and analyze data trends related to program outcomes, retention, compliance and customer satisfaction. • Ensure compliance with state level policies, contracts, and reporting requirements. • Build and maintain relationships with funders and partners at the state and community level. • Develop strategic relationships with government officials, business leaders, and community influencers.
