Role Description We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to develop new and strengthen existing client relationships throughout Northern California. This position will be based out of our San Francisco office, but a remote working situation will be considered. As a Business Development Manager for Tstrata Strengthening Solutions, you will be accountable for bringing our structural concrete strengthening capabilities to the greater San Francisco market. In this role you will collaborate with our Construction divisions to develop solutions that tackle the toughest construction challenges and meet the needs of our valued customers. You will work independently and collaboratively to help engineers, contractors, and owners design and build safer, stronger structures. - Support Tstrata Strengthening Solutions and Construction divisions by performing sales functions on high-value projects and client relationship development to meet financial goals. - After receiving appropriate training, give presentations to potential clients on our Strengthening solutions and work with Construction divisions to follow up on feedback and inquiries that arise from presentations. - Participate in web based meetings, in-person meetings, emails, and phone calls with Company’s current, assigned and potential clients as needed. - Follow up, pursue and communicate information on project and client leads provided by Marketing. - Assist with drafts of proposals for Strengthening projects and necessary revisions. - Assist with assembly of bid packages for Strengthening projects as necessary, or requested. - Attend jobsite walks and pre-bid meetings as needed. - Participate in project review calls and maintain up to date CRM listings for Strengthening projects. - Update the existing company contact databases with new contacts obtained from presentations, meetings, conferences, etc. - Work with the Structural Group’s marketing resources to help develop this database and reach out to key targets. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Construction Management. - Minimum 5 years of previous engineering, construction and/or technical sales experience. - Experience with building relationships and expanding a client base in the commercial market. - Preference may be given to candidates with experience in selling specialty construction services or products in the commercial and public markets. - Experience working with the structural engineering community and general contracting firms. - Strong knowledge of the San Francisco market (including engineering firms, property management firms, building owners, general contractors, architects, etc.). - Track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales goals / quotas utilizing a CRM system. - Strong understanding of process required to promote and implement engineered services and products through a complex and extended sales cycle, typically for existing structures. - Capable of learning and sharing information on engineered products, their functions, applicability and standards along with understanding of proposal development. - Local travel 50% of the time. Role Description We are currently recruiting for a Senior Business Development Manager role in the Heavy Civil Transportation market to develop relationships and opportunities in the Southeastern U.S. This position will cover a territory including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, and Tennessee. This role will support our company-wide initiative to expand our participation in the Heavy Civil Transportation sector, particularly on Existing Bridges. This remote position will report to the Senior Manager of Transportation Sales and work closely with our technical Subject Matter Experts to bring value to strategically identified Heavy Civil Transportation owners, engineering and contractor accounts through well-advised application of our services and product solutions. A focus will be toward developing new relationships and upstream involvement on opportunities to help influence project direction and optimize VSLC’s value and positioning. There will be a specific focus toward successfully developing design-build and other collaborative delivery projects. The person in this position will be responsible for: - Proactively developing, maintaining, and expanding business relationships with new and existing Heavy Civil Transportation Owner, Engineer and Contractor accounts throughout Southeastern US territory. - Establishing and implementing strategic account plans for advancement of relationships with Key clients within the assigned territory, including development of specific project opportunities focused specifically on driving design-build and other collaborative project delivery. - Delivering presentations on the Company’s overall Heavy Civil Transportation Capabilities and working to follow up on feedback and inquiries that arise from presentations. - Participating in sales meetings, sales calls, seminar facilitation, trade shows, industry associations, and the development of other sales and marketing strategies and initiatives. - Analyzing market dynamics, conditions and competitive landscapes to determine for VSLC, the best positioning, allocation of resources and strategies for securing and maintaining new business. - Communicating our value proposition as a trusted advisor uniquely qualified at delivering solutions for our customers’ problems and challenges. - Meeting or exceeding activity goals and annual sales goals. - Coordinating and/or creating and presenting SOQ’s, proposals, and bids for RFQ’s, RFP’s and bids for all opportunities generated and/or pursued within the defined territory. - Coordinating between departments (sales, technologies, engineering, operations), including multiple branches across the Company, to facilitate necessary collaboration to bring products and services to the Heavy Civil Transportation market within the assigned territory. - Coordinating and/or attending scheduled pipeline and sales review meetings with the Senior Manager of Transportation Sales Vertical to provide progress reports on sales activity, opportunity development and sales forecast. - Managing all sales activity with prospective clients, existing clients, and opportunities (through all stages) within the Company’s CRM system (Salesforce). Qualifications - Degree in Technical or Construction discipline relevant to position, or similar work experience. - 7+ years of experience working in engineered products or civil construction industry, preferably with some experience in the Transportation market in a business development role. - Experience in repair processes of existing bridges and new bridge construction. - Strong knowledge of the Southeastern US civil construction market. - Solid understanding of sales process with the ability to explain that process from identification of opportunity through close of sale. - Ability to collaborate across multiple internal teams and effectively navigate within a matrix organization. Requirements - Physical Requirements: The role requires a high level of activity visiting clients and project sites. Travel depends on where the candidate lives, but overnights could be up to 50%. Role Description We are seeking a highly motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and grow with us. The successful candidate will have a solid background in geotechnical engineering and an understanding of chemical grouting and retrofit foundation work. You will have the opportunity to work alongside our subject matter experts and highly skilled implementation teams with future potential as a practice leader. This position will be in our geotechnical division which focuses on existing structures challenged by ordinary solutions. Example projects in our business line include: - Soil strengthening and stabilization for existing structures with poor bearing strata - Groundwater control and waterproofing for below-grade structures experiencing moisture infiltration - Installation of new micro-pile foundations in industrial plants in congested areas Our unique solutions include the ability to perform complex chemical grouting and injection work with our specialty-trained crews and equipment.
