Role Description As an Accountant, you will be an integral part of Spryker's global operational finance team, contributing to the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our day-to-day accounting operations. You will work closely with experienced finance professionals and external partners, supporting the full accounting cycle across our international entities and helping to build the scalable finance backbone Spryker needs as it grows. This role follows our remote-first culture. Candidates must be based in Europe and available for occasional in-person collaboration, particularly around key close periods or team sessions. This role is on a part-time arrangement (minimum 30 hours per week). You will: - Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations across multiple entities. - Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules in line with applicable accounting standards. - Process and review accounts receivables, ensuring accuracy and timely execution. - Support intercompany accounting, including reconciliations and elimination entries. - Maintain accurate records and documentation in NetSuite, ensuring data integrity across the general ledger. - Assist in preparing schedules and documentation for external auditors and tax advisors during audit and year-end close cycles. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls, and workflows. - Collaborate with internal teams including FP&A, Legal, and P&C to resolve queries and support cross-functional finance needs. - Support compliance with internal controls and accounting policies across all entities. Qualifications - 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally gained in a SaaS, tech, or international business environment with multiple legal entities and currencies. - Solid understanding of core accounting principles, general ledger processes, and the mechanics of revenue recognition in a subscription business (deferred revenue, MRR/ARR, multi-year contracts). - Hands-on experience with month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and meeting close deadlines. - Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing operations, and intercompany accounting — including handling renewals and customer-facing invoice topics. - Working knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and VAT / Umsatzsteuer, including cross-border and EU reverse charge scenarios, is a plus. - Experience supporting audit preparation and collaborating with external auditors and tax advisors is a plus. Requirements - Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite is required. - Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting. - Familiarity with modern finance tools and a willingness to adopt new systems and automation approaches.
