We're looking for a Senior Engineer, Systems Engineering to help shape the technical foundation of this transformation. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of utility operations, distributed energy resources, grid modernization, and emerging energy markets. You'll partner directly with utility engineering, planning, operations, and regulatory teams to evaluate opportunities, design integration strategies, and support the deployment of distributed energy solutions at scale. What You'll Do - Evaluate utility distribution systems and grid planning processes to identify opportunities for distributed energy deployment. - Work directly with utility engineering, planning, and operations teams to assess grid needs and integration requirements. - Support the technical design and deployment of distributed energy resources, including battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging infrastructure, and other emerging technologies. - Develop communications, controls, and operational technology (OT) integration strategies that enable grid-connected assets to participate in utility and market programs. - Analyze utility systems, grid constraints, hosting capacity, and operational requirements. - Support interconnection planning and distributed energy integration efforts. - Translate complex technical requirements into actionable recommendations for internal and external stakeholders. - Collaborate with Commercialization, Program Management, and Project Delivery teams to bring innovative energy solutions from concept to deployment. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems engineering, utility engineering, distribution planning, or distributed energy systems. - Experience working with electric utilities, energy developers, engineering consulting firms, grid operators, or related organizations. - Familiarity with distributed energy technologies such as battery storage, solar, EV charging, microgrids, or grid modernization technologies. - Experience evaluating technical requirements, engineering tradeoffs, and system integration challenges. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - A passion for innovation, problem-solving, and improving how the grid operates. Preferred Experience - Distribution planning or interconnection engineering. - Operational technology systems (DERMS, ADMS, SCADA, DMS/OMS). - Energy storage systems and grid integration. - Wholesale energy markets and DER participation models. - Utility communications protocols and controls architecture. Work Location This is a remote-first position and may be based anywhere within the United States. Occasional travel may be required for team gatherings, utility partner meetings, and industry events. Director, Environmental Health & Safety

Role Description The Director, EHS is responsible for protecting the organization from operational and regulatory risk by establishing and enforcing enterprise-wide safety standards. You’ll operate as a strategic safety leader and advisor, working across Projects, Operations, HR, and Legal to ensure safety is embedded into how work gets done — not layered on after the fact. Success in this role means reducing risk, strengthening accountability, and building a safety program that scales with the business. What You’ll Do - Own and Scale Enterprise Safety Strategy - Define and evolve Sparkfund’s EHS strategy, standards, and policies across all regions - Establish “gold standard” frameworks aligned with OSHA and multi-jurisdictional requirements - Ensure safety programs scale alongside company growth and project complexity - Lead Audit & Compliance Oversight - Govern safety audits across projects and field operations - Identify systemic risks, trends, and performance gaps through data and field engagement - Drive accountability by tracking corrective actions through to resolution - Oversee Incident Management - Lead response and oversight for incidents, near-misses, and reportable events - Ensure thorough investigations and root cause analysis — not just surface-level fixes - Partner with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence - Drive Cross-Functional Alignment - Partner with Projects and Operations to embed safety into delivery workflows - Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Compliance to integrate safety into company processes - Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and field teams - Build a Proactive Safety Culture - Use data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement - Strengthen training, reporting, and field engagement practices - Foster a culture where safety is owned at every level — not just enforced Qualifications - 10–15+ years of experience in EHS, safety, or risk management - Proven ability to build and scale enterprise safety programs - Strong working knowledge of OSHA and multi-state regulatory environments - Experience leading safety in field-based, distributed, or project-driven organizations (construction, energy, infrastructure, etc.) - Track record of managing audits, investigations, and corrective action processes - Ability to influence at all levels — from field teams to executive leadership Requirements - Preferred: Professional certifications (CSP, SMP, CIH, or equivalent) - Experience in energy, construction, or infrastructure environments - Background supporting geographically distributed teams Benefits - Base Salary: $140,000 - $195,000 (based on experience, qualifications, and location) - Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance - 401(k) with employer match - Flexible PTO and strong work-life balance focus - Half-day Fridays - 12 weeks paid Parental leave - Remote work support + monthly phone/Wi-Fi stipend Equal Employment Opportunity Sparkfund is an equal opportunity employer. Senior Manager, Information Technology, Cybersecurity

• Own and maintain the IT and Security roadmap aligned to business needs, SOC 2 expectations, and customer requirements • Prioritize and sequence investments across identity, devices, endpoint protection, SOC 2 controls, and collaboration tooling • Define and communicate IT and Security standards, policies, and architectural decisions • Partner with leadership to develop budget forecasts and resourcing plans for IT and cybersecurity • Identify operational and compliance risks and propose mitigation strategies and tradeoffs • Administer collaboration and identity platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, IAM, MDM, endpoint protection, etc.) • Configure and manage onboarding/offboarding workflows and IT provisioning • Implement and maintain IT helpdesk processes (low-volume) • Support vendor evaluations, integrations, and continuous improvements across the IT stack • Maintain secure device and access management across remote environments • Execute SOC 2 readiness and evidence collection in partnership with external consultants • Maintain IT and security policies, documentation, and control evidence • Coordinate responses to client security questionnaires and due diligence requests • Support vendor risk management and access control processes • Monitor and support incident response workflows in collaboration with leadership and vendors • Implement incremental improvements to device management, identity tooling, and endpoint management • Support responsible adoption of AI tooling and assess operational risks on a practical basis • Document workflows and train internal users on IT processes and tools
