We support and empower employees to drive innovation initiatives within a well-established and growing organisation The Role We are seeking to engage a Finance Team Leader - Water & Environment to join our ANZ finance team in one of our hub offices in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne. Reporting to the ANZ Finance Manager, you will be responsible for a team of finance professionals aligned to the Water & Environment business. As a Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring that high quality advice and support is provided to key stakeholders in relation to finance within the Water & Environment business. This position will support the business unit in relation to project governance, joint ventures, alliances, financial auditing and performance reporting. Key Responsibilities - Lead a team of finance professionals to facilitate support to the Water & Environment business in Australia, NZ and UK offices - Oversee project financial budgeting, planning, and performance analysis. - Manage project creation, ensuring policy compliance and risk escalation. - Provide financial analysis, including cost allocation and scenario analysis. - Handle lock-up management and documentation. - Offer commercial guidance to minimize risk throughout the project lifecycle. - Support major projects and joint ventures with cost monitoring, and financial audits. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies for joint ventures. - Deliver finance training, manage system tools, and address financial queries and support. Role Overview: We are looking for a GIS / Spatial Analyst to support mapping, spatial analysis, and figure preparation for Environmental Impact Assessments. This role will be engaged on a consultant / work-share basis, preferably based in Central Asia or nearby regions. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare maps and spatial outputs for EIA reports - Conduct spatial analysis and data integration - Support visualisation of modelling outputs - Develop figures for reporting and stakeholder presentations - Coordinate with environmental and technical teams Requirements: - Degree in GIS, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or related field - 3-7 years’ GIS experience - Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools - Strong data visualisation and mapping skills - Fluency in English - The Georgian or Russian languages are mandatory Why Join SMEC?
