Role Description Sheer Logistics is seeking a driven and organized Project Manager to join our team and lead both internal and customer-facing initiatives. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Sales, Technology, Implementation, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, driving communication, managing resources, and ensuring successful project execution from initiation through completion. Role Description We are seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to support and operate our cloud infrastructure and application environments. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on maintaining and improving AWS-based systems, containerized workloads, and secure network connectivity. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly in AWS, managing Docker-based services, supporting web and Apache-based applications, and maintaining VPN access for internal teams and external partners. This role is execution-focused and works closely with engineering, data, and operations teams. Key Responsibilities - AWS & Infrastructure Operations - Manage and support AWS infrastructure, including EC2, VPCs, security groups, IAM, and load balancers - Monitor system health, availability, performance, and cost - Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and incident response for cloud resources - Container & Application Support - Deploy, operate, and maintain Docker-based services and applications - Support Apache-based web services and related application components - Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and connectivity issues across environments - Networking & Security - Configure and maintain VPN solutions (e.g., OpenVPN, WireGuard, or AWS Client VPN) - Support secure access for employees, vendors, and systems - Apply basic cloud security with best practices and access controls - Automation & Operational Improvements - Assist with basic automation of deployments, infrastructure tasks, and operational workflows - Improve reliability, documentation, and monitoring over time - Follow established standards and help identify areas for incremental improvement Qualifications - 2–4 years of hands-on experience working in AWS - Practical experience with: - EC2, VPCs, IAM, security groups - Docker and containerized applications - Linux-based systems - Experience supporting web servers or services (Apache preferred) - Working knowledge of VPN technologies and networking fundamentals - Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues end-to-end Nice-to-Have Skills - Experience with: - Apache Nifi - AWS CloudWatch or similar monitoring tools - Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) - CI/CD pipelines - Familiarity with cost-awareness and basic cloud optimization - Exposure to data or analytics workloads in cloud environments Benefits - Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage - HRA and FSA - 401K retirement plan - Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays - Short and Long-Term Disability Income - Term Life and AD&D Insurance - Employee Assistance Program
