Role Description We are seeking an experienced Product Line Manager to oversee a comprehensive fragrance and flavors portfolio within a specialty supply chain services business. This role is responsible for driving product strategy, managing key supplier relationships, and ensuring sustainable growth across sectors like personal care, home care, and food and beverage. Key Responsibilities - Supplier & Portfolio Management: Foster long-term relationships with principal suppliers, negotiate terms, and identify "white space" opportunities for new product development. - Financial & Strategic Growth: Optimize revenue and profitability through P&L analysis, pricing strategies, and margin optimization. - Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure 100% adherence to global standards, including US FDA, EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) 1223/2009, REACH, and IFRA. - Sustainability Leadership: Implement ethical sourcing practices (RSPO, Fairtrade) and utilize tools like EcoVadis to enhance supply chain traceability. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales and marketing to develop go-to-market plans and provide technical expertise for customer demos. - Market Intelligence: Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities to drive 10-20% annual growth. Qualifications - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Business, or a related field (Master’s or specialized industry courses preferred). - Experience: 7–10 years in product management, technical development, or sales within the chemical distribution or ingredients industry, specifically with fragrances and flavors. - Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of aroma chemicals, essential oils, and botanicals, alongside global regulatory frameworks. - Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables) and CRM systems, with excellent negotiation and presentation abilities. - Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% for supplier and customer engagements. Requirements - Preferred Skills: Deep industry knowledge of global flavors and fragrance market. - Experience with circular economy practices or sustainable sourcing in chemical distribution. - MBA or certifications in Regulatory Affairs or Sustainability (e.g., EcoVadis).
