Role Description The Field Application Engineer (FAE) responsibilities include customer pre-sales and post-sales support for airborne Flight Test and Mission Instrumentation/Recorders/Servers systems. The FAE will be responsible for customer support, training, and serve as a liaison with factory engineering development and other product support entities. The FAE will be responsible for remote and on-site pre- and post-sale product demonstrations, customer support, and supporting sales events such as trade shows. Role Description The Export Control Officer is overseeing an effective export and import compliance program for various business units across Safran DSI. This role ensures that all transactions adhere to U.S. export control laws and regulations, provides strategic guidance to internal departments, with the legal authority to sign and submit export authorization requests on behalf of the company. This role is both transactional and visionary, requiring participation in daily imports and exports while supporting the development of the overall compliance structure and program build at Safran DSI. Must have strong jurisdiction and classification background and ability to formally communicate with U.S. regulatory agencies. Responsibilities - Serve as the lead Trade resource and business partner for Safran DSI’s defense business units. - Oversee all aspects of import and export regulations for the growing defense sector. - Review, advise, and approve all export and import transactions executed by the Export Compliance Sr. Specialist. - Provide expert guidance to Contracts, Program Management, Business Development, Purchasing, Engineering, and HR on export compliance requirements and processes. - Work closely with DSI personnel to review international trade activity and make appropriate export license determinations. - Assure that required licenses and other documents are obtained on a timely basis. - Implement new and improved OCR software enhancements. - Conduct classification of products, technical data, and services under ITAR USML categories and EAR ECCNs. - Review engineering documentation and program requirements to validate classification decisions and determine licensing needs. - Prepare formal submissions to the U.S. Government to include CJs, CCATs, and Advisory Opinions (AOs), and General Correspondence (GCs). - Validate import documentation such as commercial invoices, HTS codes, and shipping records to ensure transaction accuracy and compliance. - Coordinate with internal stakeholders and freight partners to troubleshoot import issues, review documentation, and ensure timely clearance. - Review technical data that is being proposed for export to assess technical content and make appropriate export license determination. - Work with Company personnel to prepare, update and maintain Technology Control Plans. - Work with freight forwarder and U.S. Customs Broker to ensure that export and import documentation is properly completed, audited for accuracy, and maintained in accordance with record retention requirements. - Develop training programs and maintain training records. Provide communications, awareness, and training to Company personnel. - Participate in compliance audits and/or investigations of export and import activities. Supervisory Responsibilities This role will supervise other Trade Compliance staff. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree required. - Minimum ten (10) years of experience in ITAR, EAR, and OFAC compliance. - Must have detailed and extensive knowledge and experience with ITAR, EAR, OFAC, Customs, and other U.S. and Non-U.S. laws and regulations dealing with export, customs, and sanctions. - Direct and extensive experience in Departments of State and Commerce export licenses and agreement preparation, submission, management, and recordkeeping. - Direct experience with classification of defense articles and dual-use items with preparation of Technical Assistance Agreements, CJs, CCATS, and GCs. - Demonstrated leadership skills while having the ability to be a team player. - Strong communication and writing skills. - Must be a US Person. Ideally, You’ll Also Have - Experience with OCR, SalesForce, and Descartes Visual Compliance. Travel There will be some overnight travel outside the local area. Role Description The Sales Development Representative (SDR) / BD Operations role is responsible for building and sustaining a consistent, qualified pipeline while enforcing CRM discipline and enabling efficient opportunity progression across the business development lifecycle. This role operates across all stages of the revenue funnel, supporting pipeline generation, account targeting, opportunity tracking, and quote coordination. The position directly enables the VP of Business Development, BDM Spaceborne, and BDM Ground to focus on capture execution and deal closure. This is not an administrative role. It is a high-discipline operational position responsible for ensuring pipeline quality, maintaining data integrity, and driving consistent forward motion across opportunities in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments. Responsibilities - Pipeline Generation and Account Targeting - Execute targeted outbound outreach across priority accounts in U.S. government, commercial space, and aerospace markets. - Build and maintain structured account and contact lists across OEMs, primes, and system integrators. - Support identification and qualification of new opportunities aligned to strategic priorities. - Maintain consistent outreach cadence to generate qualified meetings for BD leadership. - CRM Management and Pipeline Discipline - Own Salesforce data integrity across all accounts, contacts, and opportunities. - Ensure all opportunities are accurately tracked, updated, and forecasted within CRM systems. - Maintain visibility into pipeline health, including coverage gaps and stalled opportunities. - Provide regular reporting on pipeline status, activity levels, and conversion metrics. - BD Team Enablement and Coordination - Coordinate meeting scheduling and follow-up actions for VP BD, BDM Spaceborne, and BDM Ground. - Support early-stage qualification of inbound and outbound leads. - Ensure consistent follow-up and progression of opportunities across the funnel. - Identify and escalate risks related to stalled deals or lack of engagement. - Quote Coordination and Opportunity Progression - Coordinate internally with technical sales, engineering, and BD teams to support quote development. - Track quote status, approvals, and delivery timelines to ensure timely customer response. - Assist in assembling and delivering complete quote packages. - Maintain momentum on active opportunities by driving internal and external follow-up. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a related industry major, can include MA/MS or MBA. - 3–7 years of experience in business development, SDR/inside sales, sales operations, account coordination, CRM/pipeline management, or other customer-facing roles within complex B2B environments. - Preferred experience in Aerospace and defense, but open to candidates from manufacturing, industrial technology, telecom, SaaS, and similar industries. - Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize, and build target prospect lists across U.S. government, aerospace, and defense accounts. - Experience in outbound prospecting, including consistent daily activity across calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach. - Proven track record of generating qualified meetings and new pipeline for business development or sales teams. - Ability to independently drive consistent lead generation activity and maintain outreach cadence without direct oversight. - Experience qualifying leads and progressing early-stage opportunities within a structured sales process. - Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with technical and program-level stakeholders. - Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce to track outreach, pipeline, and activity. - High level of personal accountability, organization, and follow-through across multiple parallel efforts. - Ability to operate in a long-cycle, complex sales environment with multiple stakeholders. - Experience supporting or executing business development in aerospace, defense, or government markets. - Requires active or ability to obtain DoD Secret Security clearance. - Requires U.S. Citizenship. Travel - Up to 20%, to include domestic and potential non-domestic travel visiting suppliers, customers, and other DSI facilities, and Safran factories. Salary Range - $80,000 to $100,000 annual salary, plus participation in employee performance bonus plan.
