Role Description Safeware is seeking a strategic, practical, and people-centered leader to serve as Vice President, Talent and HR. Reporting to the President, this role will lead the company’s overall people strategy while ensuring the HR function supports the business with strong, scalable, and disciplined execution. The Vice President, Talent and HR will be responsible for building and driving the enterprise people agenda, including: - Talent strategy - Learning and leadership development - Succession planning - Bench strength - Talent reviews - Performance quality This leader will help Safeware strengthen leadership capability, improve talent quality, and build the systems, processes, and organizational readiness needed to support growth in a blue-collar, mission-driven, growth-oriented environment. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field preferred. - Progressive leadership experience in talent management, leadership development, organizational development, HR strategy, or broader people leadership roles. - Experience building or significantly upgrading talent systems such as succession planning, leadership development, talent reviews, performance management, or enterprise learning. - Experience leading through others and overseeing HR operations, whether directly or through a strong operations leader. - Proven ability to operate effectively in a lean, growth-oriented, and practical business environment. - Strong business acumen and ability to connect people strategy to company growth, operating realities, and leadership needs. - Track record of influencing senior leaders and driving adoption of new processes and expectations in a way that reflects sound judgment, strong relationships, accountability, and high standards. - Experience in sales-driven distribution, industrial, manufacturing, field service, public safety adjacent, or other practical, execution-focused environments is strongly preferred. Requirements - Lead the development and execution of the company’s enterprise people strategy in support of business growth, capability building, and long-term organizational health. - Partner closely with the President and executive team to align people priorities with company strategy. - Translate business goals into a practical people roadmap. - Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on organizational design and people-related business decisions. - Assess the company’s current state of learning and development capability. - Design and implement a multiyear roadmap for learning and development. - Lead the company’s succession planning approach for key roles and critical positions. - Design and lead a companywide talent review process. - Provide leadership and oversight for the HR function through the Director of HR Operations. - Build strong relationships and credibility across the organization. Role Description The Senior Federal Account Manager will report to the Vice President, Federal Sales and manage federal sales accounts and customers. They will also pursue growth in sales, in those accounts, and the Federal/Military vertical. This is a Telecommute/Work from Home position. - Manages Federal/Military sales account and is responsible for the growth of those accounts - Works with Marketing Department to promote specials and market to assigned accounts - Enters information into CRM and utilizes CRM for territory success - Ensures customer satisfaction in assigned accounts - Works with customer service to ensure that customers are quoted and orders are processed in a timely manner - Develops a sales strategy and executes the plan to ensure sales success - Learns products and works with vendors to ensure customer needs are met - Learns contract vehicles and works to ensure that sales are aligned with proper contracts, and that contracts are well understood by customers - Contacts new and established customers to create opportunities - Develops quotes and a pipeline of opportunities - Closes sales and ensures customer satisfaction with their purchase Requirements - Proven Experience in outside sales (distributor, government, and public safety sales experience is preferred) - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect - Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a drive to exceed sales targets - Ability to work independently and manage sales pipeline effectively - Proficiency with CRM software and MS Suite Physical Requirements - This position requires daily travel of several hundred miles per week - If the sales rep has a travel territory, they must drive longer distances or travel by plane and rent a car - Must be a licensed driver and safe to drive - Must have a good driving record - Must be able to travel and stay overnight - Must be able to move samples and demo and trade show exhibits in and out of their vehicle - Must be able to clearly communicate in person and in writing to customers and other employees - Must be organized and able to retain and document and follow up customer information
