• Serve as the regional representative and primary point of contact for prospective students and applicants • Represent TUJ and its vision to prospective students, parents, school counselors, Japanese language teachers, academic institutions, and other relevant entities • Prepare and deliver presentations about TUJ; attend school/college fairs, recruiting conferences, and similar events in the assigned territories, including travel to other parts of the United States when coverage is needed • Conduct proactive outreach (e.g., phone calls, virtual meetings) and meet in person with prospective and admitted students and their families to build rapport and increase yield • Develop and maintain relationships with high school and community college teachers, counselors, and administrators to increase awareness of TUJ and its programs, with particular focus on schools offering Japanese Language courses and Japanese culture clubs • Expand TUJ’s presence and participation as a sponsor or exhibitor at Japanese cultural festivals and events in the United States • Achieve a quota of 100 school visits, college fairs, and/or events per semester • Meet regularly with, and provide monthly reports to, the Director of Overseas Admissions Counseling • Assist, as requested, with major in-person events held on the TUJ campus in Japan, such as the Counselor Fly-in Program and the High School Summer Program • Perform administrative duties and provide support to various recruiting and marketing projects and programs as determined by the Director of Overseas Admissions Counseling
