Full TimeRemoteLeadTeam 11-50Since 2008H1B No Sponsor

Role Description We're hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the team behind Respondology's most technically ambitious work within platform infrastructure and the Respond product (LLM-powered social responses). This is a role built for someone who can step in, establish clarity quickly, and drive a small, high-output team to ship consistently. - Manage five engineers across multiple domains, with headcount growth planned before you start. - Earn trust fast, build team rhythm where it's missing, and be a strong partner to Product. - Work closely with the VP of Engineering to multiply the team's output. What you'll do: - Own sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery accountability across your teams. - Coach engineers on craft, ownership, and growth with direct, specific feedback. - Be the primary engineering voice in planning and roadmap conversations with Product. - Provide light hands-on support for prototypes, bug fixes, and performance work when the team needs a boost. - Surface and resolve blockers fast; escalate the ones that require VP-level involvement. - Reduce single points of failure and knowledge silos as the team grows. Qualifications - 4+ years of engineering management experience with a track record of on-time, high-quality delivery. - Experience managing engineers working on production AI/ML or LLM-integrated systems. - Strong prioritization instincts; comfortable making calls with incomplete information. - Clear, direct communicator across written, verbal, async, and sync contexts. - Demonstrated ability to build productive, trusted relationships with Product counterparts. - Enough technical depth to understand what your team is building, ask the right questions, and spot when something's off. - Startup experience with high ownership expectations is a strong plus. Benefits - Competitive salary + equity. - 100% remote, with optional access to our Boulder, CO office. - Flex PTO, generous holidays, and a full week off between Christmas and New Year's. - Multiple healthcare options including FSA/HSA plans. - 401k (traditional and Roth) with company match, immediately vested. - Fully paid family and parental leave (12 weeks per year). - Twice-yearly team offsites. Compensation $175,000-$225,000 DOE + bonus + equity. What to expect This is a startup. The pace is fast and the playbook is still being written. Senior Applied Machine Learning Engineer

Respondology

A social marketer's best friend: AI solutions for moderating unwanted content, surfacing insights, & engaging at scale

Full TimeRemoteSeniorTeam 11-50Since 2008H1B No Sponsor

Role Description We're hiring a Senior Applied Machine Learning Engineer to join the small team that makes AI work tractable, safe, and fast across the company. In this role, you’ll ship LLM-powered systems that real users depend on every day, and build the tooling and standards that let other engineers ship them too. Our systems process nearly 2 trillion tokens, 15M+ social comments, and 100M+ LLM transactions to make that happen. - Partner closely with our AI Function lead across all three AI products: Moderate, Discover, and Respond. - Focus on the highest-risk applied ML work and strengthen the foundations (eval harnesses, observability, reference implementations) for engineers who aren't ML specialists. - Own high-difficulty applied ML features end-to-end, from prototype through production. - Build eval pipelines, golden datasets, and observability tooling (much of this is greenfield). - Create reference implementations to guide other engineers on shipping AI correctly. - Partner with Product and Engineering to translate between technical feasibility and team objectives. Qualifications - 5+ years building applied ML systems in production. - Hands-on experience with LLMs, including classification, summarization, RAG, and agentic workflows. - Strong ML evaluation instincts: constructing datasets, running offline and online evals, defining metrics. - Ability to own a feature end-to-end without a lot of hand-holding. - Strong Python skills and comfort working in a production codebase. - Experience building internal tooling or platforms that leveled up other engineers is a big plus. Compensation $140,000 - $175,000 per year DOE + bonus + equity. Location This is a 100% remote role. Must be willing to travel to Colorado or other locations approximately twice per year to work in-person with your team and have fun! What to expect This is a startup.
