Design & Marketing Operations Manager Location: Remote (US Preferred) Department: Marketing Reports to: VP of Marketing About Rancho Biosciences Rancho Biosciences helps life science organizations unlock the value of complex biomedical data. Our team specializes in data curation, bioinformatics, scientific data engineering, and AI solutions to help our clients in critical go/no-go decisions in R&D. This is a highly visible role playing a critical part in elevating Rancho's brand and ensuring our marketing engine runs with creativity, precision, and consistency as a high-performance demand generation engine. Role Overview This is an individual contributor role at the functional manager‑level working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The role will be accountable for two core functions: - Design Leadership & Execution: Developing high‑quality visual assets across digital, presentation, and brand channels to communicate complex scientific concepts with clarity and impact - Marketing Operations: Managing the processes, systems, calendars, workflows, and campaign execution that keep marketing running efficiently and predictably. This role blends design excellence with strong marketing operations. The ideal candidate is both a structured, systems‑driven marketing operator and a polished designer who can elevate visual communication to influence external and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities 1. Design Leadership (Primary Focus) UI/UX & Digital Design - Design website components, landing pages, and marketing assets using Figma. - Partner with internal & external teams to deliver production-ready design files. - Maintain and evolve Rancho's visual design system and brand guidelines. Marketing & Brand Design - Create visual assets for digital campaigns, social media, email, and web. - Develop vector graphics, diagrams, and illustrations that simplify complex scientific ideas. - Ensure brand consistency and visual quality across all touchpoints. Sales Collateral Design (Critical) - Create high-impact, professional presentations for sales, leadership, partners, and scientific audiences; Build and maintain reusable templates and slide libraries. - Create design for proof-of-concept solutions to go beyond PPT slideware and show clients the "art of possible "(primary design on Figma) Video - Edit short marketing videos, webinar clips, and social snippets. - Create light motion graphics to enhance product or scientific storytelling. 2. Marketing Operations & Coordination Campaign Execution - Manage timelines, workflows, and deliverables across campaign initiatives. - Coordinate execution across email, LinkedIn, web updates, and other media (as applicable). - Ensure campaigns launch on schedule and follow defined processes. Content Distribution & Coordination - Publish and distribute content including blogs, case studies, presentations, and webinars. - Support the content calendar, asset library, and version control. - Assist with website updates and content uploads (WordPress or equivalent). Events & Webinars - Support planning, logistics, and promotion for webinars, industry events, and conferences. - Manage event workflows including landing pages, registration, reminders, and follow-ups. Marketing Systems & Reporting - Maintain marketing trackers, calendars, project boards, and process documentation. - Support reporting and analytics for campaigns and content performance. - Assist with HubSpot and the broader marketing tech stack (lists, workflows, emails, forms, dashboards). Success Metrics (Exemplar) - Execution Velocity of Campaigns - Time from Brief -> Launch - SLA adherence (% campaigns executed on time) - Sales Enablement effectiveness - Win rate of deals with marketing engagement - Improvement of Rancho's position relative to competitors in digital platforms (e.g., Linked In) - % Pipeline originated from marketing campaigns/activities Qualifications & Experience - 3–5+ years of experience in marketing design, brand design, or digital design roles. - High proficiency in Figma and strong portfolio of digital and brand design work. - Excellent attention to detail and design consistency. - Deep experience designing business-grade PowerPoint presentations and sales collateral - Demonstrated experience managing marketing processes, workflows, or campaign execution. - Strong organizational, project management, and prioritization skills. - Ability to operate independently, juggling multiple projects in a fast-moving environment. - Familiarity with marketing automation tools such as HubSpot. Preferred: - Experience working in biotech, pharma, life sciences, or scientific/technical industries. - Experience in video editing or motion graphics. - Experience supporting B2B marketing campaigns, webinars, or events. - Understanding of web CMS workflows (WordPress preferred).
