Role Description The Rail Events Inc. (REI) Human Resources Manager is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and execution of human resources programs and initiatives for Rail Events Inc. and Rail Events Productions. This role supports a dynamic mostly seasonal workforce, involved in licensed entertainment experiences, touring productions, and special events across multiple locations throughout North America. The HR Manager serves as a strategic business partner to operations leadership, providing expertise in: - Recruitment - Employee relations - Workforce planning - Compliance - Performance management - Onboarding - Employee engagement A key focus of this role is supporting the unique staffing and operational needs of seasonal productions while ensuring a positive employee experience and compliance with applicable employment laws. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR management experience. - Experience with Paycom or similar HRIS platform preferred. - Experience supporting seasonal, touring, licensing, entertainment, or special event operations preferred. - Experience supporting seasonal, hospitality, entertainment, tourism, retail, or event-based workforces preferred. - Strong knowledge of multi-state employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices. - Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. - Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills. - SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification a plus. - Multi-state employment law experience. Requirements - Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for seasonal and year-round positions including job postings, candidate screening, and interview support. - Develop staffing plans with Rail Events leadership that align with production schedules, event launches, touring operations, and seasonal workforce demands. - Oversee all aspects of onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a consistent employee experience across locations. - Coordinate new hire orientation programs and support training initiatives related to company culture, safety, customer service, and compliance. - Serve as the primary HR resource for managers and employees regarding workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and employment matters. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions. - Partner with REI and AHR leadership to support workplace safety initiatives and risk reduction programs. - Support compensation reviews, salary benchmarking, and job description development. - Support leadership development and manager training initiatives.
