Role Description Q’Apel is looking for a Regional Director of Sales to provide leadership to the Sales organization and management of sales activities. - Consistently achieves or exceeds revenue targets as established. - Creates and manages assigned territory plans and detailed account plans for emerging & existing accounts. - Works closely with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to develop and execute business plans to expand and grow the business. - Establishes short- & long-term goals in line with revenue quota & company objectives. - Reaches out to prospective clients to determine customer needs to match the company's products with identified customer needs. - Maintains sales records and prepares sales reports as required. - Understands competition in assigned territory and general business environment. - Strives to continually develop and keep strong skills through advanced training, self-study, and work experience. - Monitors the development of business plans, assesses market penetration, and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue, and market share. - Establishes pricing strategies and develops marketing tools for successful product introductions. - Communicates customer feedback to engineering, manufacturing, and sales to enhance existing product(s). - Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. - Develops a Marketing plan to identify the target market for the company's products. - Investigates and provides analysis for new business strategies for current and new market opportunities. - Ensures that all needed market information is gathered and disseminated to appropriate departments as required. - Ensures the validity and accuracy of all data reported. - Manages departmental budget and administrative systems. - Other duties as requested. - 60 % Travel Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Sales/ Marketing, Business Administration, or another related technical discipline. Requirements - 5+ years minimum experience working in a neurovascular and 15+ years in medical device sales required along with a familiarity of FDA Quality System Regulations, Medical Device Regulations, and ISO 13485. - Strong customer relationships within the designated geography. - Proven track record of success in converting accounts and customers. - Strong customer-oriented service mindset, and passionate to work in a fast-paced environment to meet and exceed customer expectations. - Effective communication skills with customers, executives, peers, and subordinates. - Strategic thinking, strong negotiator. - Strong interpersonal skills at all levels within the organization. - Demonstrated success leading and influencing cross-functional peers. - Previous supervisory or management experience is recommended. - Integrity and the ability to maintain confidential & sensitive information are required. - Experience directly managing, building, and developing a sales team is a plus. - Works well under pressure, organized and self-motivated.
