Role Description The Family Law Department is seeking a full-time Family Law Legal Assistant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for legal professionals with strong administrative and legal support experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about helping clients navigate sensitive family law matters. Candidates must hold a JD or equivalent law degree from their home country and have relevant legal experience. Previous experience supporting U.S. Family Law attorneys is strongly preferred. The position is fully remote , with required working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time . Responsibilities and Duties - Provide administrative and legal support to Family Law attorneys. - Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery requests. - Organize and maintain electronic client files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. - Communicate professionally with clients regarding case updates, appointments, and document requests. - Assist with the preparation and filing of court documents in accordance with applicable deadlines. - Schedule client meetings, mediations, hearings, depositions, and other case-related appointments. - Maintain attorney calendars and monitor important case deadlines. - Assist with discovery, document production, and organization of exhibits and case materials. - Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and other third parties as necessary. - Perform other administrative and legal support duties as assigned. Qualifications - JD/Law degree from your home country is required, together with relevant legal experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Case Manager in a law firm (preferably supporting U.S. attorneys). - Experience in U.S. Family Law is strongly preferred. - Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills (C1-C2 level). - Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, particularly when handling confidential and emotionally sensitive matters. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and legal case management software. - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote legal team. - Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and client confidentiality. Compensation $8–$9 USD per hour. Candidate placement within the stated compensation range will be determined at Price Benowitz’s discretion based on skill set, years of experience, and credentials. Role Description Price Benowitz LLP is seeking a full-time Consulting Attorney to join our Intake & Client Consulting Team. This attorney will serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients seeking Criminal Defense and Family Law representation, providing legal consultations, evaluating potential matters, and connecting clients with the attorney best suited to handle their case. - Conduct consultations with prospective Criminal Defense and Family Law clients by phone. - Assess prospective clients’ legal needs and determine whether Price Benowitz is the right fit. - Explain the firm’s services and guide clients through the engagement process. - Match prospective clients with the appropriate attorney based on their legal matter. - Prepare and complete retainer agreements. - Maintain accurate consultation notes within the firm’s CRM and case management systems. - Follow established consultation workflows while delivering an exceptional client experience. - Collaborate with the Intake and Marketing teams to improve client acquisition and conversion efforts. Qualifications - Active Maryland Bar license in good standing (required). - Prior Criminal Defense experience required. - Familiarity with Family Law strongly preferred. - Experience conducting legal consultations or working in a law firm intake environment is highly desirable. - Outstanding verbal communication and active listening skills. - Ability to communicate with empathy, professionalism, and confidence. - Strong organizational and computer skills, including experience with CRM and case management software. - Sales, client intake, or customer service experience is a significant plus. Requirements - Licensed to practice law in Maryland. - Comfortable discussing family law matters during initial consultations. - Exceptional communication, empathy, and the ability to build trust over the phone are essential. - Candidates with regular weekend availability are strongly preferred. - Standard business hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET, with flexibility for a 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM schedule if needed. Benefits - Salary: $65,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience. - Additional Compensation: Competitive commission structure. - Location: Fully Remote (U.S.-based applicants only). - Schedule: Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. - Weekend availability is strongly preferred. - The ideal schedule is Saturday through Wednesday, with Thursdays and Fridays off. - Daily hours are generally 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with flexibility for a 9:00 AM–5:30 PM schedule if needed.
