As a Product Owner , you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including leadership, product development, marketing, sales, and user support, to drive the product roadmap and bring new Pitch Labs features to market. How this Role ties into Our Mission: - Enabling young entrepreneurs is an essential part of our mission at Pitch Labs. - Support internal stakeholders and customers to drive the most important features for the organization. - Prioritize the highest value features for the organization to enable the development team to work efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities - Requirement Gathering: Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including sales, customer support, and end-users, to gather and prioritize product and customer needs. - Backlog Management: Strategically plan and prioritize the product feature backlog, development tasks, stories, epics, and themes to ensure the product delivers maximum value. - Product Development: Partner closely with the software engineering team to iteratively develop and refine new features and products. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster collaboration across marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure financial and customer satisfaction goals are met. - Continuous Improvement: Continuously collect, analyze, and act on product feedback from multiple sources to drive product improvements. Qualifications - At least 2 years of experience with SaaS or cloud products as a Product Owner or Product Manager. - In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles. - Proven track record of delivering products from the ground up. - Outstanding communication, planning, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail. - Analytical and data-driven, able to extract meaningful insights to make informed product decisions. - Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to find process efficiencies. - Collaborative style with a preference to lead with influence. - Entrepreneurial enthusiasm and grit, always willing to roll up your sleeves. - Thrive in a dynamic environment, ideally having experience in a rapidly growing company. - MUST be based in the US. THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE VOLUNTEER POSITION. Please read carefully before applying. Background: Pitch Labs, a 501(c)3 non-profit, works to inspire, educate, and mentor aspiring high school entrepreneurs to build their first business. Obtaining knowledge to be a successful business founder can be financially costly and energy-draining. Our 100% volunteer-run nonprofit offers aspiring high school entrepreneurs free access to our mentor-matching program, entrepreneurship support community, and resource library. We strive to create a world where anyone can be an entrepreneur. What We Need: As the Director of People & Culture, you will oversee the workload of 1-2 HROs (possibly fill in for them when they are unavailable/on leave), help them monitor their department(s), collaborate with Department Directors, work closely with the Executive Director/Co-Founder on various organizational matters related to Human Resources/DEI, and more. *NOTE: Use of AI to write responses in your application will disqualify it from consideration. Qualifications: - MUST be located in the United States, preferably in North Carolina. - Background or current/past Human Resources, Recruitment, DEI/Legal, Operations, Marketing, Education Tech, Start Ups, or Nonprofit/Event Planning experience. - Detail-Oriented, team Player, responsive, proactive. - Comfortable guiding/training others and delegating tasks. - Familiar with our tech stack (i.e. Discord, Dover ATS, Google Admin/WorkSpace, LinkedIn, Canva, Asana, Github). - Well-versed in GSheets/creating decks in Google Slides. Expectations/Duties: - Consistent/timely response to emails and messages (GChat) within 24 hours. - Scheduling, attending, and/or leading onboarding sessions and/or candidate interviews for mainly senior roles. - Cover for non-senior roles in an HRO’s absence to ensure new volunteers are familiarized with their tasks & software tools. - Thoroughly train new HROs. - Recording tutorials as needed and implementing guides. - Oversee specific departments' hiring needs & partnering with Department Manager(s). - Reviewing applicant correspondence in PitchLabs email account/inbox and internal dashboard. - Posting our open roles utilizing Dover ATS to LinkedIn and Wellfound. - Tracking and updating statuses for applicants on Dover to show where they are in the recruitment/onboarding lifecycle. - Making sure all documentation and systems are kept up to date (i.e the HR Guidebook, SOP, templates, presentation/onboarding decks, etc.) and restructuring processes as needed. - Leading team meetings, 1:1’s, and initiating any other relevant gatherings as needed. - Sharing volunteer feedback session responsibilities as required with HROs. - Distributing documents as requested by volunteers in regards to their work hours and approval/crediting/log, etc. - Monitoring & facilitating all department requests in Executive Director's and/or other HRO’s absence; mitigating any discrepancies promptly. - Providing Executive Director & advisors strategic workplace insights and analysis. - Assisting with the prioritization of company initiatives, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. - Leading special projects and overseeing strategic initiatives from development through successful execution. - Facilitating efficient and effective communication between staff, management, and other stakeholders. - Serving as a liaison to senior management teams & Advisory Committee members. - Working on residual HR related ad-hoc projects when required with the Internal Communications Manager and fulfilling their duties if absent. Time Commitment: THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE #WFH VOLUNTEER POSITION. Although this is a volunteer role, given our startup-like functioning, we only seek active volunteers who are energized, ready to engage and make an impact. Please be prepared to contribute at least 7-8 hours a week for at least the next 12 months.
