Role Description The Senior Manager, Local Content and Presence, plays an important, matrixed role on the Station Services team, to manage PBS’s portfolio of member station products and services that better connect audiences to local stations through localized station experiences across PBS-owned platforms. The incumbent works across PBS to represent stations as a stakeholder for content management and distribution products and services. The position will collaborate on the creation of a range of turnkey tools, training, and resources for stations and work to strengthen station understanding of PBS's multi-platform strategy. The Station Products and Initiatives team works to maximize the quality and impact of PBS’s partnerships, products, and services for stations. By leading multi-departmental programs and initiatives, the Station Products and Initiatives team strives to improve PBS member station success in reaching new audiences, engaging their audiences across platforms, and opening new opportunities for revenue. - Strategic Collaboration & Leadership - Acts as lead stakeholder and advocate on behalf of all member stations for PBS's portfolio of local station content related products. - Serves as a bridge between PBS and PBS member station staff to increase local presence across PBS platforms. - Leads cross-functional collaboration with Product, Marketing, Engagement, PBS content teams, and PBS senior management. - Station Relationship Management - Proactively engages member stations to gather and interpret input on their needs. - Manages PBS relationships with member stations and crafts communications to provide product rollout information and guidance. - Organizes collaborations among PBS member stations. - Builds and maintains trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. - Product Marketing & Distribution Support - Partners with teams across PBS to help stations maximize the distribution and marketing of their content. - Manages relationships with outside vendors in support of delivering distribution and content-related products and services. - Team & Organizational Support - Provides support to members of the Station Services team. - Promotes an environment of collaboration to best serve the needs of stations and PBS. - Provides regular project updates, including station on-boarding status for PBS staff. - Represents PBS Station Services at system meetings and conferences as needed. - Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications - 4 - 6 years of progressively responsible work experience in product management and development, project management, business analysis, or other fields involving digital media and technology. - Bachelor’s degree in communications, media, technology, marketing or related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered. - An understanding of public broadcasting station or non-profit membership organization operations. - A strong background in digital technologies, specifically video technologies. - A strong customer service orientation. - Relational intelligence and stakeholder management between customers, specifically member stations and producers. - Solution minded thinker who can assess situations and identify solutions. - Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization on issues of product strategy and ongoing station communications. - Skilled at bridging communication between technical and non-technical teams. - Knowledge of the media, distribution, and streaming landscapes, including current industry and user trends. - Ability to analyze and gather both quantitative and qualitative data, and to present findings and recommendations. - Excellent management and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. - Attention to detail and pride in high-quality execution of work. - Enthusiastic and energetic team player who is excited about the possibilities afforded by new technologies. Senior Manager, Digital Distribution Strategy and Operations

Role Description The Sr. Manager, Digital Distribution Strategy & Operations role is responsible for scaling PBS’s distribution strategy across YouTube, streaming platforms, and emerging digital ecosystems (including short-form, social, and live environments), to ensuring PBS content reaches audiences wherever they are. This role will lead operationalization of platform-specific content strategies that maximize the value of PBS’s content library, drive audience growth, and strengthen station value across digital platforms. This includes expanding reach with diverse audience sets and driving measurable growth across key performance metrics (e.g., watch time, subscriber growth, and engagement). This is a unique opportunity to shape how one of America’s most trusted media brands evolves its presence on YouTube, streaming platforms, and emerging distribution ecosystems. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in expanding access to trusted, educational, and culturally impactful storytelling for new and diverse audiences. By innovating across content formats, including long-form, short-form, live and archive-based programming, this role will help unlock new audience growth opportunities while advancing PBS’s public service mission in a rapidly changing media landscape. - Deep expertise in recommendation-driven platform dynamics (e.g., algorithms) and an understanding of how growth levers translate across other digital platforms including streaming apps and social video ecosystems. - Proven track record of driving growth at meaningful scale (e.g., large audiences, multi-channel ecosystems, or rapid-growth environments) across YouTube, streaming, or digital video businesses, with measurable impact on audience growth and engagement metrics. - Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across content, marketing, analytics, and product teams. - Skilled at building relationships and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, creators, and external partners. - Strategic and analytical thinker who uses performance data, audience insights, and platform trends to drive measurable growth outcomes and inform both distribution strategy and upstream content decisions. - Serve as a central connector across teams, translating audience insights into actionable programming, packaging, and distribution strategies. - Collaborate with our Business Intelligence Group, Programming, Marketing, Product teams and external production partners to ensure alignment with editorial, brand and distribution priorities. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Media, or related field. - Equivalent professional experience is strongly valued, especially for candidates with demonstrated success in digital video or creator ecosystems. - Experience owning, managing, or scaling digital video channels, ideally with responsibility for performance outcomes. - Deep understanding of platform analytics, audience segmentation, content performance, and growth levers across digital ecosystems. - Strong organizational, project management, and operational execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. - Ability to communicate effectively across internal teams and external partners. - Analytical mindset with experience using performance data to inform decision. - Familiarity with YouTube, streaming platforms, social video ecosystems, and emerging digital distribution channels.
