PATH’s Center for Vaccine Innovation and Access (CVIA) brings together our expertise across every stage of the long and complex process of vaccine research, development, and delivery to make lifesaving vaccines widely available to children and communities across the world. CVIA’s current portfolio encompasses more than two dozen vaccines either in development or already in use to protect against fifteen different diseases. Our focus is on vaccines to address the leading diseases that claim children’s lives worldwide: pneumonia, diarrheal disease, and malaria; as well as other global health priorities, such as polio and meningitis. We work in partnership with national health ministries, pharmaceutical manufacturers, donors, international financing and regulatory organizations, and many others. PATH has led numerous global partnerships, including the award-winning Meningitis Vaccine Project and the Malaria Vaccine Initiative, which helped develop the first malaria vaccine candidate recommended for pilot implementation. PATH is currently recruiting for a Senior Program Assistant (SPA) who will provide administrative support to a portfolio of projects in the Center for Vaccine Innovation and Access (CVIA) division. The SPA will be a team member on a diverse portfolio of projects in CVIA, including vaccine introduction and development projects, and cross-program activities within CVIA, as assigned. The successful candidate will be required to obtain the PATH Proofreaders Certification within 120 days of employment. Please apply by Wednesday, June 10th for consideration. Responsibilities: - Assist one or more CVIA teams, and may provide support to a CVIA Global Head, with correspondence containing complex and confidential communications to internal and external contacts. Where appropriate, draft responses or triage queries or issues to other team members for response. Ensure timely flow of information and materials. - Provide administrative support in the proofreading, formatting, and document management of proposals, reports, work plans, and other documents. Create review timelines for key documents with multiple collaborators. Compile reference lists for manuscripts and other externally facing documents. - Organize and collate project information to support development of project reports to funders and facilitate report submission according to funder requirements. - Coordinate and manage travel arrangements for non-PATH team members and consultants, including travel forms, supporting documentation, and reimbursements as applicable. For travel of multiple PATH staff to the same location/meeting, coordinate group hotel block as requested. - Manage scheduling and planning of meetings, including compiling and organizing relevant background materials, assisting with drafting and distributing agendas and minutes, and monitoring follow-up activities such as decisions, action items, and other tasks as requested. - Ensure that logistics for meetings, workshops, and other events are arranged. This includes preparing meeting materials, arranging web conferences using appropriate platforms, making catering arrangements, making room reservations, maintaining participant lists, coordinating with Seattle or DC facilities as required, and assisting with guest arrangements. - Assist with completion of administrative forms as required, including credit card expense reports and meal substantiation forms. - Ensure that project team communication and information systems, including SharePoint, Box, Smartsheet, and any other electronic and paper filing systems, are in place and are regularly maintained. Serve as the primary point of contact to assist team members with filing and locating key project documents. - Assist team members with support in using various software programs. Liaise with Information Technology department to resolve hardware and software problems. - Serve as member of the CVIA’s administrative team to ensure smooth coordination of team schedule and project activities among the different offices. Provide back up for other CVIA Program Assistants. Required skills and experience: - Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of progressively responsible administrative experience required; or an Associate’s degree and four years of strong administrative support experience. Candidate must demonstrate exceptional organizational, coordination, and administrative skills in a fast-paced professional environment. - Articulate communicator, excellent oral and written communication skills in English. - Demonstrated history of being proactive and ability to work independently. - Proficiency in the application of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Role Description PATH is seeking a Program Associate for PATH’s Climate Health work in Madhya Pradesh. The Program Associate will work with the state, divisional, and district officials to provide technical assistance and hand-holding support for the CHART, CHIP, and state government. - Lead district-level implementation of CHART and CHIP by translating discovery-phase insights (heat and MNCH work in Gwalior) into actionable interventions and pilots. - Provide technical assistance and handholding support to district and state government officials for integrating climate and health considerations into planning and service delivery. - Coordinate with government departments, Technical Working Groups (TWGs), and partners to co-develop and operationalize climate-resilient health solutions. - Support data collection, validation, and analysis related to climate stressors, health outcomes, and facility-level vulnerabilities to inform CHART analytics and planning. - Facilitate vulnerability and experience assessments, ensuring integration of local knowledge and scientific evidence into adaptation planning. - Assist in testing and refining CHART prototypes, including predictive analytics, risk visualization tools, and solutions database. - Support implementation of CHIP interventions for climate-resilient health infrastructure, including facility assessments, simulations, and retrofit solution deployment. - Coordinate field activities including stakeholder consultations, FGDs, IDIs, and co-creation workshops to inform tool design and solution prioritization. - Contribute to development and testing of adaptation solutions, particularly for MNCH and primary healthcare systems. - Support monitoring, evaluation, and documentation of pilot interventions, including pre- and post-assessment of climate adaptation outcomes. - Facilitate capacity building of government stakeholders and frontline workers on climate-health tools, approaches, and solutions. - Assist in scaling efforts, including expansion to new geographies, stakeholder engagement, and development of implementation roadmaps. - Support knowledge management, reporting, and dissemination of learnings, best practices, and evidence for policy and program uptake. Qualifications - Master’s Degree preferably in Climate Health/ Sustainable Development/ Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Planning/ Public Health or any other relevant field. - At least 3-5 years of experience in primary and secondary research, documentation, presentation, and working with the communities from the climate adaptation and resilience perspective. - Prior experience of working in Climate Health is strongly desired. - Technical knowledge and field experience in the areas mentioned above. - Familiarity with the Indian public health system, flagship initiatives in climate change, and human health.
