About this position The curriculum manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs across all childcare sites. This role ensures that curriculum aligns with the organization’s mission, meets regulatory requirements, and promotes high-quality learning experiences for children, at various stages of development. What you’ll be doing - Overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs and curriculum across various age groups; - Ensuring curriculum aligns with state and federal educational standards, as well as organizational goals; - Leading curriculum quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives; - Collaborating with supervisors, instructional coaches, and program directors to enhance student learning outcomes; - Collaborating with data team to analyze student performance data that will inform curriculum adjustments and instructional strategies; - Collaborating with training and professional development staff on curriculum-related trends and organizational needs; - Collaborating with family engagement team to develop resources for parents to reinforce classroom learning; - Developing training materials and lead workshops on instructional strategies and child development; - Integrating best practices in early childhood & school-age education, cultural inclusivity, and social-emotional learning; - Collaborating with community partners to enhance educational offerings and support services; - Representing the organization in professional networks and advocacy efforts related to early childhood education; - Staying current with educational trends, research, and best practices in curriculum design and early childhood education; - Supporting training, enrollment, grant writing and reporting efforts by providing curriculum-related data and narratives; - Abiding by all of Options for Learning’s policies; - Performing other duties as assigned. What you bring to the table - Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum & instruction, or a related field; - Proven experience in curriculum development and educational leadership; - Strong knowledge of early childhood education and Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF) and state early care and school-age care education standards; - Knowledge of early childhood curriculum, such as High Scope, Creative Curriculum, and approaches such as Project-Based Learning, Montessori, and play-based learning; - Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills; - Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; - Familiarity with assessment tools and data-driven instruction; - Master's degree in education, curriculum & instruction, or a related field (preferred); - Experience working in nonprofit or community-based educational settings is a plus (preferred). Our dedicated and passionate employees have helped our organization become one of Southern California's most innovative and progressive child development organizations, serving nearly 11,000 children throughout the San Gabriel Valley. About this position This position is responsible for managing interdepartmental projects within the organization’s Project Management office. This role focuses on organization-wide initiatives, strategic alignment, and cross-functional project success. The project manager will aid in positioning our organization as a true leader in supporting families and preparing children for life success. What you’ll be doing - Managing program and/or department projects and those assigned by management; - Analyzing all aspects of projects from concept to completion; - Prioritizing department projects according to areas of greatest need and/or impact; - Organizing trainings upon completion of projects as necessary; - Forming teams to assist with projects as necessary; - Managing documentation associated with projects, including narratives, statistics and other pertinent data; - Working with other departments, agencies, or funding sources as needed; - Providing regular progress reports to management; - Accurately complete, archive, and update required documentation on a timely basis according to department and agency policies and procedures; - Managing department office duties and supporting the work of program or department management; - Assisting the program and/or department managers as needed; - Attending training as required; - Performing other duties as assigned. What you bring to the table - Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, human services, information systems/computer science or other applicable field (verifiable work experience may be substituted for education); - Two years of project or office management experience in a professional capacity; - Ability to communicate in written and verbal English correctly and effectively; - Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams); - Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Planner, Trello, Asana, etc.; - Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze information and solve problems using sound, inclusive reasoning and judgment; - Excellent presentation and facilitation skills to small, large and diverse groups, including ability to communicate project details to various audiences; - Experience and ability to effectively work with, be respectful of, and sensitive to persons from various cultures, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds; - Ability to independently identify problems, needs and opportunities for improvements, develop solutions, and implement plans/solutions; - Ability to engage and be comfortable with all levels of management; - Ability to fulfill job duties while meeting the highest ethical standards; - Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects; - Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills; - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; - California driver’s license, available use of an automobile, and automobile liability insurance; - Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification (preferred); - Experience with child care, education or human services organizations (preferred); - Command of Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Vietnamese (preferred).
