• Proactively identify, pursue, and close professional learning sales opportunities in mathematics and English language arts • Drive outbound sales to districts, schools, networks, and education organizations not currently owned or actively pursued by the Sales team • Sell predefined professional learning offerings, including the Annual HIVE Conference • Own and manage a dedicated professional learning sales pipeline from prospecting through close • Generate a minimum of $150,000 in professional learning revenue during the pilot period • Sell a minimum of 50 HIVE Conference registrations by June 1 • Coordinate closely with the Sales team to prevent account overlap or outreach conflict • Maintain accurate, timely pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting • Represent Open Up Resources’ academic vision, values, and brand with integrity in all external engagements

Role Summary The Professional Learning Sales Lead (Contractor) is responsible for driving net-new revenue for Open Up Resources’ professional learning offerings, including the Annual HIVE Conference. This role focuses exclusively on acquiring new customers beyond Open Up Resources’ existing district and school partners by building, managing, and closing a dedicated professional learning sales pipeline. This position is structured as a six-month pilot, with the opportunity for extension based on clearly defined performance outcomes and demonstrated scalability. Who This Role Is For This position is tailored for educational sales professionals who excel at generating leads, closing deals autonomously, and linking their compensation to their performance. It is not suitable for those looking for a primary hourly or administrative position.

The Role The Chief Impact & Revenue Officer (CRO) is a pivotal role directly influencing the future of our organization’s new business sales, customer success, marketing, and partnerships. The CRO will scale and lead our impact and reach strategic initiatives by focusing on exceeding ambitious sales goals, and uncovering new opportunities, while building a scalable sales and marketing engine. The CRO will report to and work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the senior executive team, and directly manage the Managing Directors and Sr. Directors of Sales & Marketing in strategically executing the go-to-market strategy and aligned strategic priorities. The CRO is required to have extensive district relationships and an understanding of state and district level sales strategy to propel the OUR brand. The CRO will bring a track record of transforming revenue operations for scale. This individual will design and execute a go-to-market strategy adoption of the OUR portfolios, with a focus on impact and sustainable growth. Our ideal candidate is a mission-driven C-level sales leader with an energetic passion for transformation within education, a strong K-12 background, demonstrated strategic K-12 sales and marketing experience leading multiple teams. The Chief Revenue Officer will have deep knowledge of cross-channel marketing, native advertising, programmatic, and the latest trends in digital advertising. The ideal leader will listen first, exhibit dedication for the Open Up mission, and recognize that personal as well as team productivity is the result of a commitment to excellence, strategic planning, collaborative teamwork, and focused effort. In addition, the CRO position requires strong financial, analytical, and modeling expertise.
