Role Description The Virtual Construction Superintendent is responsible for managing and developing Virtual Construction Field Engineers, ensuring that Virtual Construction (VC) processes are consistently implemented at the project level. This role combines team leadership, technical expertise, and operational oversight to drive successful project outcomes. The VC Superintendent will support field teams, troubleshoot project-level issues, enforce enterprise standards, and ensure the quality of Nox Innovations deliverables. By visiting and managing multiple job sites weekly, the VC Superintendent provides hands-on leadership and ensures that manpower and staffing needs are aligned with company and project objectives. Key Responsibilities - Leadership & Team Development - Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with VC Field Engineers. - Oversee the professional development and training of VC Field Engineers. - Conduct daily check-ins with VC Field Engineers to provide support and direction. - Lead the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring process for VC Field Engineers. - Process & Standards Enforcement - Ensure Virtual Construction-to-Field processes are being followed at the project level. - Develop and implement new processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the Virtual Construction team. - Ensure compliance with enterprise standards for: Markups, Model Sign-Offs, As-Builts, Kit Tracker, and Asset Tracker. - Field & Project Support - Visit and manage multiple job sites weekly to support VC implementation. - Troubleshoot VC-to-Field issues at the project level. - Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field leaders to ensure smooth integration of VDC processes. - Collaborate with project teams to resolve challenges quickly and effectively. - Manpower & Resource Planning - Accountable for manpower projections and project staffing needs. - Strategically allocate VC Field Engineers across projects to maintain optimal support levels. - Nox Innovations Deliverables - Ensure accountability and quality control for Nox deliverables, including Layout points, Sheet sets, Modeling. - Work closely with VC Field Engineers, design team, and project teams to address and resolve deliverable-related issues. Qualifications - Significant experience in Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) or related construction management fields. - Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing and developing technical teams. - Strong knowledge of VDC processes, digital-to-field integration, and construction workflows. - Proficiency with BIM and related technologies (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Procore). - Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple job sites simultaneously. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with field teams, engineers, and clients. Role Description As the Virtual Construction Field Engineer, you will support the Nox Innovations virtual design team and broader Nox Group construction installation teams with research and validation in the field. This will include design, trade coordination, layout, installation coordination, and validation. - Manage the Asset Routing submissions daily by: - Providing support to the field on routing processes from Virtual Construction (VC) teams - Ensuring routing plans are reviewed and constraints are logged and followed up on by Nox Group’s field personnel and Virtual Construction - Coordinate & manage internal and external constraints during the modeling process by: - Maintaining a daily VC constraint log - Coordinating constraint resolution - Attending VC internal and external coordination meetings to document and coordinate constraints and assist in coordination resolution - Monitoring & sharing weekly constraint progression with the project & VC teams - Assist with the constructability review in the field. - Assist the installation team with understanding the scope as needed. - Perform field validations of installation against the design to ensure the design is being followed and report any design to installation deviations to VC Project Engineer. - Provide total station layout points on site as needed. - Assist installers with knowledge of how to understand and navigate the model and sheet sets, including PF part labels. - Perform daily coordination between the VC Project Coordinator and the onsite field operations teams to ensure the model and design are aligned. - Provide updates and support to the VC Project Manager to ensure continuity between the VC Engineers and the onsite Field Operations. Qualifications - 5+ years’ experience in the construction field, electrical a bonus - 2+ years’ experience in CAD - Experience in Project Layout - Ability to stand for long hours and walk job sites - Ability to climb a ladder - Ability to lift up to 45 lbs - Excellent written and verbal communication ability - Organized, systematic, and competent in performing detailed tasks - Has a strong ability to be a team player and leader - Self-starter and motivated to work efficiently and effectively - Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills - Cultural fit—ability to build positive working relationships Requirements - High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent - This is a safety sensitive position, and all applicable policies including drug test and background check will apply. - The inherent responsibilities of your role may include physical working conditions.
