• Design and build the transformation layer in Snowflake (raw → staging → conformed → marts) as the governed foundation for all downstream reporting and AI/ML use cases. • Migrate existing SQL views to dbt-style versioned, tested models with full lineage. • Define conformed dimensions and operational facts across Novanta’s multi-ERP environment using Kimball dimensional modeling principles. • Set modeling, testing, naming, documentation, and CI/CD standards for the team, including Git workflows, code review practices, dbt project structure, model contracts, and release management. • Partner with report owners and stakeholders to validate semantic equivalence and minimize disruption during cutover from past datasets. • Implement data quality testing, observability, and lineage, and partner with IT Audit on SOX-relevant controls for financial data flows. • Design models with downstream AI/ML and agent consumption in mind, including documented model contracts and stable surrogate keys. • Mentor and lead the team by setting standards and guiding junior members.
• Serve as a senior finance leader within the business unit (BU), partnering closely with the VP of Finance and business unit leadership. • Translate BU strategy into robust financial plans, investment cases, and performance targets. • Support the VP of Finance in driving financial alignment between BU priorities and enterprise objectives. • Provide financial leadership on growth initiatives, capital investments, and strategic trade-offs. • Lead BU financial planning activities in coordination with the VP of Finance, including: Annual operating plan, Long-range strategic plan, Quarterly forecasts. • Drive disciplined execution against revenue, margin, and cost commitments. • Develop actionable insights for the VP of Finance and BU leaders, highlighting risks and opportunities. • Partner with the VP of Finance to ensure alignment with AAP, SOX, internal control, and reporting requirements. • Lead and develop BU finance talent, aligned to direction and priorities set by the VP of Finance.
• Develop and own Novanta’s AI strategy aligned with business objectives. • Identify and prioritize AI use cases with clear success metrics. • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and foundation models for enterprise adoption. • Partner with data science, engineering, and IT teams to deliver scalable AI solutions. • Oversee governance, compliance, and ethical considerations for AI initiatives. • Define infrastructure and resource requirements for AI development and deployment. • Establish frameworks for model lifecycle management, performance monitoring, and risk mitigation. • Advise senior leadership on AI trends, regulatory changes, and competitive positioning.
• Set and execute the long-term Salesforce strategy aligned with business goals • Partner with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations • Own architecture, configuration, and optimization of Salesforce clouds • Drive adoption through change management and governance • Integrate Salesforce with ERP, marketing automation, and billing systems • Lead a high-performing team and foster a culture of innovation.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Applications, Software, Cloud services, and IT consulting • Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities • Lead RFP/RFI processes and vendor selection • Build and maintain strong relationships with key IT vendors and service providers • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations • Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic negotiations and alternative sourcing • Ensure sourcing activities comply with internal policies and external regulations • Work closely with IT, Finance, Legal, and Procurement teams to align sourcing with business needs • Support project teams with timely acquisition of required IT resources.
• Leads critical decisions on import/export compliance and licensing • Drives accurate classification, documentation, and regulatory adherence • Partners across functions to embed compliance into business processes • Contributes to the evolution of Novanta’s global compliance programme • Supports audits and ensures readiness in an ever-changing regulatory environment
• Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD / Entra ID) environments in hybrid and cloud-native configurations. • Manage user lifecycle processes including provisioning, de-provisioning, and role-based access control (RBAC) assignments. • Configure and maintain Conditional Access policies, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions. • Administer Microsoft Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions to enforce least-privilege principles. • Integrate SaaS applications and on-premises systems with Azure AD using SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect protocols. • Monitor identity infrastructure for threats, anomalies, and compliance gaps using Microsoft Defender for Identity and Microsoft Sentinel. • Support and manage on-premises Active Directory environments, Group Policy, and hybrid identity configurations (Azure AD Connect / Entra Connect). • Collaborate with security, compliance, and application teams to ensure IAM policies meet regulatory requirements including SOX, HIPAA, and GDPR. • Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for IAM systems and processes. • Troubleshoot identity-related incidents, service requests, and access issues in a timely and structured manner. • Participate in IAM roadmap planning, architecture reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
