Qualifications - 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology, digital transformation, software engineering, architecture, data, automation, or emerging technologies. - Significant experience leading enterprise-scale AI, automation, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives. - Demonstrated success building and executing technology strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes. - Experience operating within highly regulated or complex enterprise environments preferred. - Strong understanding of modern AI and Generative AI technologies, including: - Large language models and foundation models - AI orchestration and workflow automation - Retrieval and knowledge-based architectures - Prompt engineering and evaluation methodologies - AI application development patterns - Experience with intelligent automation, AI-enabled software development, and enterprise AI platforms. - Familiarity with responsible AI principles, governance frameworks, model lifecycle management, and operational monitoring. - Strong technical foundation across cloud platforms, APIs, distributed systems, data architecture, cybersecurity, identity, and modern engineering practices. - Proven ability to align technology investments with strategic business objectives. - Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills. - Experience influencing senior leadership and driving enterprise-wide change initiatives. - Demonstrated success managing teams, vendors, consulting partners, and complex delivery portfolios. - Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, investment planning, vendor management, and value realization. Role Description Act as the senior technical expert for the organization’s Workday Financial platform, providing direction and hands-on configuration leadership (no direct reports). - Maintain and enhance system configuration across Financial Management and related modules, ensuring accuracy, stability, and alignment with business needs. - Plan and execute system releases and updates, including regression testing, validation of integrations, impact analysis, and early adoption of new features. - Translate business requirements into scalable system solutions that improve process efficiency and data integrity. - Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Payroll, and operational teams to evaluate current workflows and recommend optimized system designs. - Drive enhancements from concept through deployment, including documentation, security review, QA validation, and post-release support. - Develop and maintain detailed configuration documentation, functional specifications, and process maps. - Monitor system health, proactively assess downstream impacts of configuration changes, and maintain strong internal controls. - Support organizational change efforts by developing user guides, configuration notes, and facilitating small-group knowledge sessions. - Troubleshoot complex system issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes. - Contribute to platform roadmap planning, helping the organization leverage new capabilities strategically. Qualifications - Deep functional knowledge of Workday Financial Management and associated business areas (such as procure-to-pay, general accounting, projects, and expense management). - Strong hands-on experience configuring enterprise SaaS platforms, including business process frameworks, security models, reporting, integrations, and calculated logic. - Background in system ownership, platform administration, or post-implementation application management. - Solid understanding of accounting and financial operations; experience supporting system integrations is highly valued. - Familiarity with structured service delivery environments, including SLAs, ticket management, and continuous improvement practices. - Experience working in iterative or agile delivery models preferred. - 5+ years supporting or configuring enterprise business systems (Finance, ERP, or HR platforms). - Ability to explain technical system design concepts to both business and technical audiences. - Independent problem-solver who can diagnose issues, assess impact, and implement effective solutions with minimal oversight.
