Role Description Neptune Ubicom Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a passionate and talented Senior Java Developer, aka Senior Product Engineer (designation per our organisation structure) who is passionate about building new products and taking technical ownership to be a part of our engineering team. Scope of the Role: The role is a strategic, hands-on experience-focused role designed to contribute to the smooth functioning of the tech, process, and people aspects of the product team. Day to Day Responsibilities & Expected Impact: Technical skillset: - Work on establishing best engineering practices focusing on agile and CI/CD. - Understand the impact of architectural and strategic decisions. - Drive designs of major software components, systems, and features for the product/project. - Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the software. - Have a profound understanding of the specialities of the customer installations. - Create hotfixes and releases, and deploy independently. - Write and commit code to our live code base in collaboration with the team. - Ensure that the plan for technical and product documentation is achieved. Strategy & role: - Develop a complete understanding of the product/project customer and their needs with the help of the Team Lead. - Share the product/project knowledge appropriately with other engineers to help them make better decisions to create solid, high-quality solutions. - Use your understanding of the product/project to advise the Team Leads on creating solid, high-quality solutions that align with the long-term strategy. - Be a key player in building a solid team with high-quality output and creating a culture of innovation. - Coordinate technical topics spanning across teams. - Drive team product/projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise, such as efficient design techniques, quality thinking during development, and intelligent ways to deploy and monitor code. - Help other engineers understand work breakdown strategies and prioritisation. - Mentor and act as a role model for your team members. Leadership: - Work on training and integration of new talent in the product/project. - Advise and support the Team Leads in developing effective training and integrating strategies. - Act as an understudy to the Team Leads and support Team Leads on various strategic responsibilities. - Share any issues or concerns observed in the team with the Team Leads.
