Role Description Neko is redefining what prevention means, from treating illness when it arrives, to sustaining health before it's ever at risk. Our mission: make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people, before symptoms appear. This is a clinical role at the center of Neko’s dermatology pathway. Every member who receives an abnormal skin finding from their Neko scan will be seen, assessed, and triaged by this clinician—determining whether findings can be reassured and discharged or require referral to a community dermatologist. What matters is dermatology-specific clinical training and the ability to independently assess and triage skin findings with confidence. What You’ll Deliver in the First 6–12 Months: - All abnormal skin scan findings are triaged accurately and consistently—with every encounter documented to applicable state and federal standards. (Member First, always). - Clinical escalation processes are established and functioning across all US sites, with dermatology triage decisions aligned to Neko’s protocols and US regulatory standards. (Hard truths, high hopes). - A referral network of community dermatologists and dermatopathology services is built and maintained in each active market. (Chase 10X, not 10%). - Contribution to the development and refinement of US dermatology triage protocols in collaboration with the Medical Innovation team. (Tech-enabled, human-centered). Qualifications - Current licensure to practice medicine in New York State, in good standing with NYSED. - Formal dermatology training—including dermatology residency (MD). - Demonstrated ability to independently assess, triage, and manage skin lesions including pigmented lesions, suspicious moles, and common skin cancers. - Proficiency with dermoscopy, or completion of an accredited dermoscopy training program prior to start. - Strong working knowledge of dermatology referral pathways and community specialist networks. - Ability to maintain accurate, structured clinical documentation in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Requirements - Dermoscopy certification (SDC, IDC, or equivalent). - Experience in a high-volume outpatient or preventive health setting. - Telehealth clinical experience. - Multilingual—Spanish particularly advantageous for the NYC market. - Interest in or experience with health tech, AI-assisted diagnostics, or direct-to-consumer healthcare models. Hiring Process Candidates progress from application and structured screening through thoughtfully designed interviews culminating in a formal offer and final pre-employment checks before joining the team. Equal Opportunity & Inclusion Statement Neko Health is committed to inclusive hiring and member-first care. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and encourage you to request reasonable adjustments to support your application.
