This role involves real-time remote monitoring of EEG, EMU, LTM, and sEEG studies (up to 4 concurrent studies), as well as occasional on-site responsibilities such as patient unhooking at the conclusion of EEG studies. Key Responsibilities - Remotely monitor EEG, EMU, LTM, and sEEG studies in real-time. - Perform routine EEG procedures across various modalities. - Unhook patients at the conclusion of EEG studies as needed. - Accurately recognize and differentiate normal and abnormal EEG patterns across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations. - Document patient seizure semiology with precision. - Maintain professional communication with patients and medical staff. - Operate and troubleshoot EEG equipment and other major systems (Cadwell, Nihon Kohden, Xltek, etc.). - Work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting. Qualifications · High School diploma (GED) or higher · A minimum of 1-year experience in the field · Must be ABRET board-certified R.EEGT (CLTM preferred) · Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology as it relates to EEG · Must have a secure HIPAA compliant workspace that is free from unauthorized viewing · Must have a reliable internet connection and backup · Must be able to work 12-hour shifts · Must be able to operate, store, and maintain EEG equipment as necessary · Must maintain an appropriate supply inventory sufficient to conduct multiple EEG setups if necessary · Must be proficient with Microsoft Office · Must have a valid driver’s license Physical Requirements: · Must be able to move and lift up to 50lbs · Must be able to stand, kneel, and stoop as needed · Must be able to sit for long periods of time · Must be able to type at least 45 words per minute for the purposes of data entry REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: 1. Role Description Under supervision of the Manager of Advanced Clinical Training, Mentor conducts and communicates performance updates and assists with supplemental guidance and instruction. Duties are not limited to the responsibilities listed below and are subject to change for development and refinement of the Advanced Clinical Training (ACT) Program. This role is a secondary role and does not replace or substitute primary tech duties. Responsibilities - Develop, train, and positively encourage IOM Technologists as they advance their skills in IOM. - Facilitate teaching of medical knowledge, IOM theory, and physical skills under the guidance of the ACT Manager. - Provide IOM Technologists the resources they need to become highly trained Advanced IOM Technologists. - Develop relationships with techs and clinical leaders to facilitate open communication and progress transparency. - Partner with Territory Managers and ACT Manager to develop strategic goals and expand Advanced Clinical Training initiatives. - Contribute to the Program by aiding in the development of MPOWERHealth University content, beneficial education strategies, and educational event logistics when applicable. - Case coverage will be top priority dependent on territory and staffing needs. - Travel for case training and coverage will be an essential function of this role. - Focus on developing strong, productive relationships with physicians, Hospital staff, and administration. - Engage with surgeons and staff to obtain feedback on progress of IOM Technologist. - Note improvements on workflow with the hospital work environment to ensure patient care remains at a high quality. Qualifications - CNIM required. - Required modality experience includes ABR and EEG.
