The Work - Lead client consultations to understand their unique family law needs and provide tailored legal advice. - Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and negotiations, ensuring their best interests are always prioritized. - Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements, with precision and attention to detail. - Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to develop comprehensive case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes. - Stay informed about changes in family law and related fields to provide clients with the most current and effective legal solutions. - Utilize advanced legal technology and AI tools to streamline case management and enhance client service. - Foster strong, empathetic relationships with clients, guiding them through challenging legal processes with compassion and clarity. Qualifications - Experience in Arizona family law, with cases managed from start to finish. - Ability to lead client consultations, providing tailored legal advice with empathy and clarity. - Proven track record of representing clients in court, mediation, and negotiations, prioritizing their best interests. - Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents with precision and attention to detail. - Collaborative mindset to work effectively with colleagues and support staff to develop comprehensive case strategies. - Commitment to staying informed about changes in family law and related fields to offer current legal solutions. - Comfortable using advanced legal technology and AI tools to enhance case management and client service delivery.
Role Description Our law firm is looking for an ARIZONA attorney who is ready to represent our existing client base. The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm’s clients, administrative staff, and senior partners. If you have the ability to handle a diverse caseload, have stellar research and writing skills, can communicate effectively, and use today’s technology well, please start your application today! - Appellate Advocacy - Research, draft, and file appellate briefs, petitions for review, and motions for reconsideration. - Develop an appellate strategy in collaboration with trial counsel to preserve and position key legal issues. - Present oral argument before the Arizona Court of Appeals or Supreme Court when required. - Review records, transcripts, and trial court rulings to identify appealable issues. - Litigation Support & Mentorship - Advise trial teams on preservation of appellate issues during ongoing litigation. - Support attorneys with complex motion practice, including special actions and constitutional challenges. - Mentor associates on appellate writing, issue framing, and case law analysis. - Thought Leadership & Contribution - Author CLE presentations, firm blogs, or articles on emerging family law issues. - Participate in Modern Law’s teaching and specialization initiatives. - Engage with the legal community through professional associations and guest lectures. Qualifications - J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in Arizona. - Minimum 5 years of family law litigation, including trial and appellate experience. Requirements - Exceptional legal writing and analytical reasoning. - Proficiency with appellate procedure, rules, and timelines. - Ability to handle multiple complex cases and mentor others. - Strong emotional intelligence and collaboration skills. Preferred - Certified Family Law Specialist or on track to become certified.
