Role Description This position provides high-level technical support for Flexcel NX products to our customers, both remotely and onsite. The employee provides day-to-day troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair, and proactive support services. The individual should be very proficient in the hardware used by packaging customers, and over time become proficient in corresponding application skills and support functionality. In this role, you are reporting to the Regional Technical Support Manager. The position is “remote” based, dispersed across the region based on customer locations. - Key participant in the regional Technical Support team - Provide technical support on hardware, application (media support) and software, via remote or onsite for regional flexographic customers. - Performs remote support via the phone and dedicated tools (as part of escalation process). - Deliver Proactive services (Preventive Maintenance and Plateroom Audit) at customer sites. - Perform Installations and upgrades of Miraclon products. Qualifications - Self-starter – highly motivated to “make it happen” - Curious and interested to learn and develop additional skills - Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in the printing prepress industry - Good writing skills to summarize technical situations and path forward - Strong verbal communication - Ability to follow instructions and to interact with high-level support roles - Ability to work under pressure and in an environment where multiple goals and priorities make focus difficult - Customer focused and must have Service Excellence of attitude to address problems resolution to meet customer satisfaction - Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%) Requirements - In-depth technical knowledge of Flexographic equipment – Imagers and process equipment. Ideally a knowledge of Kodak equipment and Laminators but knowing competitor’s system and relationship with flexography OEM are of advantage. - A minimum of 5 years’ experience in flexographic printing service, or general printing service. - Track record of high-quality performance and results. - Experience working in a “hands-on” and “field” position with relatively little supervision. - PC skills including basic Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and communication. - Flexible schedule between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Occasional, but limited weekend work or travel may be required.
