• Must have government sales experience either in Federal or SLED. • In coordination with Matroid leadership, develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for growing the company's presence in defined government institutions. • Generate new leads and business opportunities, working closely with Matroid counterparts to determine goals and targets. • Serve as the key point of contact between Matroid and given institution(s), and represent Matroid's Sales Team at industry events and conferences. • Develop deep familiarity with Matroid's software platforms and how they can be used to solve a wide range of real-world problems. • Exceed stated sales quota by winning contracts. • Work with the other Sales team members to improve and streamline internal processes.
• Drive new computer vision solutions sales from discovery of new opportunities through to successful close with new customers. • Partner effectively across teams to create Manufacturing relevant points of view, assets and solutions. • Unlock new demand by uncovering Manufacturing business problems and matching them to our solutions. • Understand customer needs and requirements. • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory.
• Build and lead Matroid’s global sales enablement function • Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Product, Marketing, and Field Engineering • Design and execute a scalable enablement strategy • Establish KPIs to measure enablement effectiveness • Design and deliver onboarding programs for new hires in enterprise SaaS sales • Develop ongoing training in negotiation, communication, and manufacturing terminology • Train sales teams on computer vision and AI/ML concepts • Implement and reinforce a consistent enterprise sales methodology • Create and maintain sales materials and tools • Analyze sales performance data to drive improvements
• On-Site Deployment & Support • Working directly with the sales and deep-learning teams to most effectively problem solve, support, and expand Matroid by users. • Travel to customer manufacturing facilities (50%+ travel required) for system installation, commissioning, and support • Deploy and configure vision systems (cameras, optics, lighting, edge devices) in production environments • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues under real-time production constraints • Ensure minimal downtime and rapid resolution of issues • Machine Vision & AI/ML Implementation • Design and optimize vision solutions for inspection, defect detection, measurement, and guidance • Deploy and validate AI/ML models for real-world use (e.g., classification, object detection, segmentation) • Collect, label, and manage image datasets to improve model performance • Tune models and systems for accuracy, latency, and robustness in variable factory conditions • Bridge the gap between data science models and production-ready systems • System Integration & Optimization • Integrate solutions with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and existing automation systems • Support connectivity with MES, SCADA, and plant network infrastructure • Optimize system performance for throughput, yield, and first-pass quality • Execute proof-of-concepts (POCs), pilot programs, and full production rollouts • Customer Training & Enablement • Train operators, engineers, and quality teams on system operation and best practices • Develop documentation, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides • Support long-term adoption and continuous improvement initiatives • Customer Collaboration • Act as a trusted technical advisor to manufacturing, quality, and operations teams • Translate production and inspection challenges into scalable technical solutions • Provide structured feedback to product and engineering teams to improve system performance and usability • Success Metrics • Successful deployment and uptime of vision/AI systems in production • Model performance (accuracy, false positive/negative rates) in real-world conditions • Reduction in defects, scrap, or manual inspection • Improvements in throughput and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) • Customer satisfaction and repeat engagements
• Own and drive Enterprise vertical revenue targets • Develop and execute strategic account plans for enterprise and Fortune 1000 customers • Build scalable sales strategies for computer vision adoption in enterprise environments • Forecast revenue accurately and manage pipeline health across the organization • Lead complex sales cycles from executive discovery through close • Engage C-level stakeholders across Operations, Quality, Engineering, and IT • Uncover enterprise-level initiatives and align Matroid’s solutions to strategic priorities • Structure and negotiate multi-year, multi-site agreements • Hire, mentor, and develop Enterprise Account Executives and Sales Managers • Drive performance management, quota attainment, and professional development • Partner with Marketing to develop enterprise-specific messaging, campaigns, and assets • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate customer feedback into roadmap insights • Identify new market opportunities and vertical expansion strategies
