• Support engineering execution on-site from test plan through steady-state operation • Translate P&IDs, process designs, and engineering packages into installed, commissioned systems in the field • Manage day-to-day technical activities on-site: contractor coordination, punch lists, field modifications, and issue resolution • Monitor system performance against design intent and flag technical issues clearly and quickly • Serve as Mantel's day-to-day engineering point of contact with the host site and its technical teams • Coordinate with EPC contractors, equipment vendors, and host-site operations staff • Maintain a safe, professional, and collaborative site environment at all times • Maintain accurate site records: as-builts, field change notices, commissioning logs, and performance data • Produce clear, concise site updates and engineering reports for the VP of Engineering and broader project team • Support data collection and system monitoring for technical validation of the demonstration • Surface field observations and operational insights that inform design refinement and scale-up • Work closely with the engineering team to close the loop between design intent and real-world performance
• Own the project schedule end-to-end: develop, maintain, and drive it across internal teams, EPCs, vendors, and host-site stakeholders • Track technical deliverables, identify risks early, and keep the team ahead of schedule rather than reacting to it • Facilitate weekly status meetings and ensure clear, consistent communication across all project parties • Coordinate with leadership on project staffing, resource planning, and budget tracking • Review and track engineering deliverables: P&IDs, equipment specifications, QA/QC documentation, and engineering test procedures • Coordinate across disciplines to resolve interface issues and keep design progressing • Ensure all technical work meets Mantel's standards and is complete before it moves to the next phase • Support HAZOP execution and ensure safety compliance is embedded throughout the project lifecycle • Serve as the day-to-day coordination point for EPCs, equipment vendors, and consultants • Drive accountability on deliverables, timelines, and quality from all external parties • Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders with precision and a clear paper trail • Work closely with the Commissioning Director to develop and execute commissioning plans • Coordinate pre-commissioning activities, punch list close-out, and startup sequencing across all project parties • Produce clear, concise project reports and updates for leadership and stakeholders • Surface issues early with proposed solutions — not just status updates • Keep internal teams aligned on priorities, decisions, and next steps
