• Supervise and coordinate the workload for the Support Services, VIP Customer Service, and Customer Service departments • Provide daily direction, support, and coverage backup for the three departments • Conduct yearly performance reviews with the Supervisors of the three departments • Maintain and recommend updates to work procedures, on call and department schedules, and work flow • Manage departmental staffing decisions, including interviewing potential candidates • Generate and submit comprehensive reports monthly • Work closely with Sales and Operations Management to define and meet customer expectations • Handle major customer inquiries, escalations, and upset customers • Collaborate with partner carriers, Terminal Staff, Sales, and Management • Participate in the on-call rotation, monitoring all after-hours VIP emails and phone calls
• Assisting customers with all their inquiries via phone/email/chat (ie. tracing/tracking requests, etc.) • Scheduling & confirming pick up's • Follow up on interline requested pick up's • Co-ordinating with other departments/terminals to ensure customers' requirements are being met • Assisting sales
• Support large environments of Windows & Linux servers and technologies: troubleshooting, proactive management, security management, backups, daily operation and optimization. • Support cloud workloads in IBM Cloud, including resource provisioning and cost monitoring. • Test and monitor network and server performance and provide performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure. • Assist in vulnerability assessments, patch cycles, and remediation efforts in line with company security policy. • Responsible for resolving all infrastructure break/fix issues and enhancements in a timely manner. • Liaise with third-party partners/vendors for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation. • Responsible for software licensing compliance • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to infrastructure emergencies outside of regular business hours.
• Verifying and processing customs documentation for immediate release • Working effectively under pressure to meet deadlines • Collaborating with other team members • Some holidays will be required to work • Midnight Shift - Tuesday to Saturday - 1:00AM - 9:00AM (Working from Home)
• Identify new sales opportunities and grow existing customer base through acquisition and organic growth. • Present, promote, and sell customs brokerage, consulting, and freight forwarding services. • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships. • Reach out to prospective customers through cold calling. • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments. • Accurately track sales leads and opportunities through SugarCRM. • Complete RFP/RFQ requests for clients. • Travel within vast northern Ontario sales territory for customer facing meetings and tradeshows - overnight travel is required. • Achieve agreed upon sales targets on a quarterly & annual basis. • Continuous improvement through feedback and professional development.
