Role Description Legion is hiring a Provider Partnerships Leader to build one of the company’s most important growth engines: trusted referral relationships with primary care providers and other clinical partners who need a fast, high-quality psychiatry partner for their patients. This is a founding commercial leadership role. You will: - Design the playbook - Personally open priority markets - Win high-value referral partners - Build the operating system for provider growth - Eventually hire and lead a national provider partnerships team The right person has the grit of a top physician liaison, the strategic judgment of a healthcare BD leader, and the urgency to turn clinical trust into measurable patient access. Qualifications - 5+ years in healthcare business development, provider partnerships, physician liaison, clinical outreach, territory sales, or referral-growth roles - Strong preference for psychiatry, behavioral health, primary care, specialty care, outpatient imaging, physical therapy, home health, hospice, specialty pharmacy, GI, dermatology, women’s health, or other referral-driven care models - Proven track record of growing referral volume through direct provider relationships - Experience owning a market, region, or territory with concrete activity and performance metrics - Strong field-sales instincts: high activity, crisp follow-up, account prioritization, route planning, and comfort hearing “no” - Ability to build trust across physicians, office staff, administrators, referral coordinators, and executive stakeholders - Deep understanding of healthcare workflows: referrals, intake, scheduling, EHRs, fax, patient engagement, insurance coverage, and clinical handoffs - Comfortable using CRM, spreadsheets, dashboards, and referral data to manage performance - High judgment around compliance, HIPAA, patient privacy, and ethical referral practices - Low ego, high urgency, strong ownership Requirements - Build Legion’s provider referral engine from 0 to 1, then 1 to N - Identify, prioritize, and win high-potential referral sources, including PCPs, pediatricians, OB/GYNs, therapists, urgent care clinics, health-system care teams, community clinics, and other behavioral health organizations - Create territory and market launch plans: account targeting, outreach cadence, field visits, presentations, lunch-and-learns, events, and provider education - Own referral growth metrics, including new referring accounts, active referral partners, monthly referral volume, referral-to-scheduled conversion, completed visits, partner retention, and provider satisfaction - Build relationships with physicians, practice administrators, office managers, MAs, referral coordinators, care managers, and clinical leaders - Make Legion easy to refer to by diagnosing and removing friction across eligibility, scheduling, documentation, insurance coverage, patient handoff, and follow-up communication - Partner with clinical operations, product, marketing, intake, credentialing, and data teams to improve the referral experience end-to-end - Build repeatable systems: CRM hygiene, account scoring, partner collateral, market dashboards, weekly reporting, referral attribution, and field-team training - Collect market feedback from providers and turn it into better messaging, workflows, product improvements, and clinical operations - Hire, coach, and manage Provider Partnerships Managers / Physician Liaisons as the channel scales Benefits - Salary: $150,000 – $210,000, based on experience - Significant Performance Bonuses: Meaningful variable compensation tied to referral growth and market launches - Early-Stage Equity: Competitive - Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision benefits - Additional Perks: In-person retreats, meal stipends, travel reimbursement, provider engagement budget - Time Off: Flexible, unlimited vacation policy - Work Hours: Flexible - Work Setup: Remote with frequent in-market travel - Impact: Work on something that will change health care forever - Autonomy and Learning: Ownership over your metrics with the freedom to set priorities, shape processes, and drive outcomes end-to-end - Growth Opportunities: As we scale, we envision our top performers from our founding team stepping into expanded roles and joining our executive leadership team How to Apply and Hiring Process Apply here: Application Link Overview of our hiring process: - Resume + Application Screen - Founder Interview(s) - Advisor Interview(s) - Professional Reference Checks Estimated time-to-hire: 2 weeks Start date: ASAP Hiring manager: Arthur MacWaters Equal Employment Opportunity Legion Health is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. • Answer inbound calls and texts from new patient leads with clear, accurate, and timely communication • Make outbound calls and send texts throughout the day to follow up with new leads and get them booked • Convert leads into scheduled appointments by guiding patients through the next steps, answering common questions, and reducing drop-off • Schedule and reschedule appointments, including managing missed appointments and helping patients get back on the calendar quickly • Triage intake-related issues that arise before the first visit (e.g., scheduling conflicts, basic onboarding questions, communication gaps) and escalate as needed • Provide compassionate, high-quality support with a strong focus on patient trust and satisfaction • Maintain clean, consistent documentation of patient interactions so nothing falls through the cracks • Track follow-ups and next steps to ensure each lead receives timely outreach and a clear outcome (booked, not a fit, no response, etc.) • Identify recurring lead objections or friction points and share feedback to improve scripts, workflows, and conversion rates • Work closely with internal teams to resolve issues quickly and keep the intake process moving • Maintain a reliable, high-speed internet connection for smooth and consistent communication • Always aim to deliver the best experience possible for our patients
