Role Description We are seeking a Puerto Rico-licensed attorney to work with existing employment-law clients and help move matters toward resolution. This role is focused on client communication, case progress discussions, and early settlement efforts. You will work directly with current clients to explain strategy, gather facts, manage expectations, and help advance settlement discussions in a clear, professional, and persuasive manner. This is an employment-law role only. Typical matters include: - Discrimination - Retaliation - Harassment - Wrongful termination - Wage and hour issues - Leave or accommodation issues - Related workplace disputes Responsibilities include: - Communicate with existing employment-law clients by phone and video regarding case status, strategy, and next steps. - Build trust with clients through clear, confident, and compassionate communication in fluent English. - Help move cases toward resolution through attorney-led negotiation and settlement discussions. - Review intake materials, case documents, call notes, transcripts, and other file materials to prepare for client and settlement communications. - Discuss settlement goals, client expectations, risks, and options in a practical and professional way. - Coordinate with attorneys, support staff, and local or appearance counsel when needed. - Maintain accurate notes, updates, and follow-up tasks in the firm's systems. - Use Slack daily for internal communication and case coordination. - Maintain ethical, accurate, and professional communications with clients and all other parties. Qualifications - Active law license in Puerto Rico and good standing. - Minimum of 1 year of attorney experience. - Experience handling employment disputes such as discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour, EEOC, or related matters. - Fluent English, spoken and written, is required. - Strong phone and video presence with a polished, persuasive, client-friendly communication style. - Comfortable speaking with clients about settlement posture, expectations, and case progress. - Strong judgment, organization, and attention to detail. - Comfortable using Slack and remote case-management tools daily. - Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but fluent English is required. Requirements - Job Type: Full-time, Part-time Employment - Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour - Expected Hours: 24-40 per week Benefits - Work from home - Schedule: 4 hour shift, 8 hour shift
