The Junior Project Accountant supports the project accounting team with billing, cost tracking, and financial administration. This role is responsible for preparing invoices, maintaining accurate project data, and assisting with the overall financial management of assigned projects. Key Responsibilities - Handles billing and financial support for assigned projects - Works under guidance of senior staff - Provides support to Project Accountants and project teams - Builds toward full Project Accountant responsibilities - Assist with project setup, including entering budgets and contract values - Prepare and process client invoices in a timely and accurate manner - Track and enter project costs (labor, expenses, subcontractors) - Maintain and update job cost reports - Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices - Support month-end close, including reconciliations and reporting - Maintain organized project financial documentation - Assist and change orders and system updates - Work with Project Managers to ensure accurate billing and cost coding - Provide day-to-day support to Project Accountants Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - 0-3 years of relevant experience - Basic understanding of accounting principles - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines - Experience in project-based or construction accounting - Familiarity with AIA billing, Textura, or similar systems - Experience with healthcare/hospital/institutional billing a plus Why Work at JB&B? - Legacy + Innovation: Our company blends a rich history with forward-thinking design, including smart building systems and deep carbon reduction strategies. - Collaborative Culture: With over 400 professionals, our company fosters mentorship, teamwork, and continuous learning. - Global Impact: Now part of Trinity, our company offers opportunities to work on transformative projects across commercial, healthcare, aviation, life sciences, and data center sectors. - Multiple office locations: New York, Boston and Philadelphia. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong technical, coordination, and leadership skills to contribute to high-impact projects and client success. As an Electrical Engineer in the Associate role, you'll play a key role in managing and executing electrical engineering projects from design through completion. You will collaborate across disciplines, communicate directly with clients, and help ensure that both technical excellence and project financial goals are achieved. Key Responsibilities - Works with their Department Leader (i.e., Director, Associate Partner, or Partner) to develop conceptual design for projects and guides their team through project completion. - Acts as the day-to-day Client point of contact on their projects - Manages and reviews all project- related documents and ensures timely and accurate implementation - Responsible for project deliverables both technically and functionally. - Presents and explains project designs confidently at internal and external meetings. - Coordinates and updates the project team regularly to meet design expectations and deadlines. - Initiates and manages design changes, proposals, and approvals. - Successfully executes large/complex Data Center projects from concept to completion. - Utilizes staffing and project resources effectively: delegates projects thoughtfully to avoid work overload. - Financial Management and Business Development - Builds and maintains quality relationships with Clients and industry contacts.
