Role Description The Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS), in partnership with Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) Extension and Outreach at Iowa State University, is seeking a CIRAS Business Services Specialist III with a focus in food and feed safety & quality. This position works directly with Iowa food and feed manufacturers, processors, and handlers to: - Develop and implement food safety and quality programs - Support regulatory compliance efforts - Assist companies with industry standards such as FSMA / Preventative Controls, SQF, ISO 22000, and HACCP - Provide training and implementation support, including Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) training This role serves as a key resource for training, technical assistance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the food and feed manufacturers, processors, and related supply chains. Role Description The Postdoctoral Researcher will contribute to policy-relevant research funded by federal and state agencies, focusing on early childhood, family well-being, public health, and education systems. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team led by Dr. Heather Rouse and other investigators across Iowa State University and partner institutions. This team specializes in mixed-methods research using national datasets, state administrative data, and survey/focus group approaches to examine early risk and protective factors in children’s home and community environments. Role Description The Department of World Languages and Cultures in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor of American Sign Language (ASL). The successful candidate will: - Develop and teach courses in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum. - Be a motivated instructor who will contribute to departmental and institutional service. - Have a courseload of 4 courses per year (49% FTE for remote teaching faculty), teaching two courses in the fall and two in the spring. Role Description The Mid-America Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC) at the Partnerships in Prevention Science Institute located within the College of Health and Human Sciences is seeking applicants for a Program Specialist II - PTTC Coordinator. The Program Specialist II – PTTC Coordinator is responsible for aligning training and technical assistance with regional experts to strengthen the capacity of prevention professionals. In this role, the PTTC Coordinator proactively identifies, vets, and coordinates subject matter experts and instructors to deliver high‑quality PTTC training and technical assistance that meets the needs of requesting partners. Example of Duties - Works with key stakeholders in HHS region 7 (e.g., state behavioral health agencies, coalitions, prevention organizations) to identify needs and gather training and technical assistance requests. - Maintains and grows a curated roster of SMEs/instructors aligned to PTTC priority topics, regions, and modalities (live, virtual, asynchronous). - Vet candidates (credentials, references, prior evaluations) and document results in a shared database. - Draft scopes of work, instructor agreements, and other related documents that tie directly to PTTC learning objectives and federal sponsor requirements. - Develops prevention professional job aids and training aids. - Supports the Production Manager in the development of infographics, social media posts, posters, informational resources, and messaging.
