Role Description We’re looking for an Auto Appraiser to join our growing team on a 12-month term. - Inspect vehicles and determine the cause and origin of accident-related damage using appraisal software, managing claims of varying complexity based on your experience. - Review, assess, and approve repair estimates by comparing shop estimates with your appraisal findings. - Determine vehicle market value when required, using approved tools and appraisal standards. - Create clear, accurate repair estimates using digital estimating platforms, with a focus on consistency and minimizing errors. - Communicate and negotiate best repair practices with repair partners and internal stakeholders. - Meet productivity and service-quality targets aligned with Appraisal standards and Claims objectives. Qualifications - College diploma, university degree, trade certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - 1–3 years of collision repair and/or estimating experience. - Experience with estimating software (Audatex and/or Mitchell); ability to prepare estimates in Audatex is an asset. - Strong knowledge of auto physical damage repair and replacement principles and techniques. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and attention to detail. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting clear claim documentation. - A customer-focused mindset and commitment to continuous learning. Salary range (but not limited to): 50,900 - 62,200 About the role We’re looking for Underwriting Assistants to join our Specialty Lines Conversion team from May to August 2026. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the underwriting function by processing transactions in insurance business accounts with numerous data entry and policy conversion duties. You may also have the opportunity to work on key company initiatives and projects as it relates to the business. This position will provide full training for the role, and offers an excellent opportunity to learn a multi-system approach to Specialty Lines Underwriting. What you’ll do here: - Input data on the policy management system and collect / cross-reference information using various computer-based software programs - Communicate with other related departments to seek and / or validate insurance policy information - As part of a systems conversion process, assess policy data to identify & resolve any discrepancies between existing underwriting data and the new system requirements - Support the Speciality Lines Underwriting teams on various assignments which may include systems testing, performing specialized system functions, tracking, reporting of data, and other tasks as required - Maintain accountability, efficiency, and quality standards on tasks assigned - Perform other support / administrative tasks as required What you bring to the table: - Post-secondary education preferred - Minimum one year experience in insurance preferred but not required - Knowledge and experience using Google Chrome and MS Office Suite and you are comfortable learning and navigating multiple systems - Expert data entry skills and high attention to detail - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Organizational and time-management skills to meet service levels and productivity targets - Ability to work in a virtual team setting environment under self-direction - Willingness to learn and think outside the box - For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country Il s'agit d'un nouveau rôle au sein de notre équipe en plein croissance | This role is a new member of our growing team.
